Royal Hotel

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. It was so inconvenient and disappointing that on our arrival day we were refused by the reception lady when we asked to leave our luggage s before checking in, for the reason that there is no space . We have no choice but paid extra money to use luggage storage services outside the hotel.

Fantastic Hotel - great location - perfect for the train station and wandering around Bath. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Very good, tasty breakfast. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Very convenient location. Historic building with a great atmosphere

Our stay at The Royal was perfect, from the warm welcome when we arrived to the comfortable room. The breakfast menu was extensive and we enjoyed all of our meals. Above all I cannot compliment the staff enough. They were warm, friendly and professional. We look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful location with great staff. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the service was outstanding. Great place to stay close to train station and able to walk everywhere. Stayed on getaway special that included food and lodging. Room was small but comfortable and felt historic and modern at same time.

Lovely hotel. So convenient for exploring Bath on foot. Really friendly and helpful staff. Plus our deal included one evening meal, champagne cream tea, and 2 hour session at the wonderful Thermae Spa (plus breakfast of course!). Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Hotel in Bath. Location is perfect, near the train station and within walking distance of everything in the city. Parking is convenient, just around the corner. Quiet location with no noise from the train station. Lovely room, serviced every day, great staff and lovely breakfast choices. Would highly recommend.
