Holiday Inn & Suites Beaumont-Plaza (I-10 & Walden)

I had not been to the old Holidome since I was living in Beaumont as a youngster. It still looks good and beds were still comfy. Will stay again when I return home for happier times.

Worked great for us as we needed to stopover on the way to Houston, as got caught in a big storm and got too late to go all the way to Houston. Was conveniently right off of I-10. Staff were nice. Nice open atrium and spacious lobby. Solid hotel for overnight stopover on I-10.

This hotel is beautiful and contemporary. Unfortunately, checking in was a nightmare because both employees were trainees and had to correct a mistake that was made by someone else who answered the phone when we called. Fortunately the young lady who corrected the mistake kept calm and followed through even though it took about 30minutes. Once in our room, we discovered trash in the trash can, the telephone didn't work, the shower curtain was torn and the worst was that the bathroom door wouldn't close. The breakfast was good, but don't think we'll go back.

Hotel room was clean. Staff very nice. Location good. Cons are older hotel, shabbily installed baseboards etc.

Don’t waste your money on this hotel, you can get better accommodations and kinder staff for much less. No one answers the 1-800 hospitality number ever. Door to exit Weight room doesn’t work you will be trapped if there isn’t someone on the outside with a room key to let you out. Hot tub only has 2 working Jets, and is absolutely filthy, tile around pool is dangerously slippery, and not stocked with enough towels. There are no names or phone numbers listed on signage where it states to call for any assistance or issues in the pool area. Fire alarm continuously went off back to back but room 409 doesn’t have functioning system so you won’t hear anything. Manager is horrible and the worst representative of this hotel chain.

After 16 years I came back to this hotel and is very well kept rooms are clean not funky smells, bar was great and the service was good and friendly, on my check out day a front desk attendant names Justin was very knowledgeable and friendly, I will come back here for sure.
