Ich habe mir jetzt sehr viele Kommentare durchgelesen und kann nicht verstehen, wie man dieses Hotel auch nur ansatzweise mit weniger als 4 Sternen bewerten kann ! Das Hotel ist klasse ! Sowohl die einzelnen Apartments in den außenstehenden Häusern ( welches wir gegen ein Zimmer im Haus problemlos tauschen konnten) als auch die gesamte Anlage, das Hotel, einfach alles! Hier hat sie der Inhaber so große Mühe gegeben und ein wirklich tolles Konzept bzw. eine tolle Anlage, auf die Beine gestellt ! Das Personal im gesamten Haus ist unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend ! Das Frühstück hat alles was man braucht und ist durchgängig frisch und vielfältig ! Egal ob Wellnesbereich , Außenanlage oder Zimmer, alles ist sauber und modern , man fühlt sich sehr wohl ! Wir reisen sehr viel durch die Welt und dieses Hotel hat ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Ps. Bei der Grösse der Anlage, kann es schon mal vorkommen, dass man kurz warten muss oder der Frühstücksraum etwas voller ist, so etwas als „schlecht“ zu bewerten, ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar! The staff at the restaurant/at breakfast was unfortunately more concerned that the guest - goes back in time (at the entry I was told I would come 10 minutes before breakfast end. I shouldn't just say later that I wouldn't have known) - or not disturbed (my husband wanted lunch and there was no staff who took him. Therefore he placed himself on a unreserved table. The staff came and thought he was making everything wrong and couldn't sit there. Why and how he does it right, it was not just answered nicely. He may stay alone). A third not so nice experience: At request of the business center deposited on Trip.com to work on the laptop, my husband should pay 100 euros for 1 day - it was probably confused with a meeting room. The front desk was told at the reception that he could also sit in a empty restaurant. When he wanted to do this in the morning, the restaurant staff ignored it. Unfortunately, not such a nice stay for us.

Der Hotelkomplex des „Vienna House by Wyndham Havelufer Potsdam” liegt nahe am Havelufer und lädt in relative ruhiger Umgebung zum Verweilen ein. Allerdings sind einige der Zimmer eher einfach eingerichtet und verströmen lediglich durch mehrere Holzbalken als Gestaltungselemente in den Zimmern etwas Flair. Als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in Potsdam ist das Hotel nahe der Straßenbahnlinie S91 und dem Bahnhof Potsdam Charlottenhof gut geeignet, für längere Aufenthalte würde ich es nicht empfehlen. Ich war im September 2023 zu Gast in dem Hotel und hatte Doppelzimmer 215 zugeteilt bekommen. Das Zimmer liegt im ehemals als Korn-Speicher genutzten und jetzt umfunktionierten Hoteltrakt mit Blick auf eine rückwärtige Grünfläche und die Außen-Terrasse eines italienischen Restaurants. Dieses wird offenbar recht gut besucht – entsprechender Unterhaltungslärm war bei gutem Wetter abends in unserem Zimmer bis Restaurantschließung (Mitternacht) bei geöffnetem Fenster zu hören. Das Zimmer hatte eine einfache funktionale Ausstattung mit einem kleinen Doppelbett (gute Matratzen), Wandlehne mit zwei Abstell-Brettern (als Nachttisch-Ersatz), Tisch, ein Stuhl, Telefon, Fernseher, Spiegelgestell mit acht Kleiderhaken und zwei Schubladen (als Schrankersatz…) und der Möglichkeit, einen kleinen Koffer abzustellen. Durch ein Rundbogenfenster hatte man einen Ausblick auf die Grünfläche hinter dem Hotel. Das Badezimmer hatte eher den Charakter eines Jugendherberg-Bades mit einem Waschbecken (wie man sie oft auf Raststätten-Toiletten findet) und einer Duschecke mit Plastikvorhang. Daneben beengt: die Toilette. Seifengel und Shampoo-Fläschchen standen bereit. Recht gut empfand ich das Büfett-Frühstück, dass im Erdgeschoss mit Blick auf den Grünbereich und Zugang zu einer Außenterrasse (mit Tischen und Stühlen) angerichtet war. An beiden Tagen meines Aufenthaltes herrschte gutes Wetter, so dass Frühstück auf der Terrasse im Freien möglich war. Hätte man die nichts nutzen können an den Tagen, wäre es im eigentlichen Restaurantbereich zu Wartezeiten gekommen, wenn das Hotel gut ausgelastet ist. Wartezeiten gab es auch an der nur einen (langsam arbeitenden) Kaffeemaschine. Fertiger Filterkaffee in kleinen Kannen stand bereit, die „langsame“ Kaffeemaschine bot auch Cappu, Latte und Co. Die Frühstückauswahl war gut, alles da: Verschiedene Wurstauflagen, Käse, Marmeladen, Obst, Joghurts, Eier-Variationen, Brot, Brötchen und Croissants, Cerealien, Säfte, Wasser und sogar Sekt. Zwei Fahrstühle bieten im Hotel gute Zugangsmöglichkeiten zu den Zimmern auf den vier Stockwerken. Außen gibt es im Freien eine Raucherecke mit Outdoor-Sofa. Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle S 91 ist nahe dem Einfahrtsbereich des Hotels an der Zeppelinstraße und schnell erreichbar. Bis zum Bahnhof Potsdam-Charlottenhof sind es 6 - 7 Gehminuten. Die Innenstadt (u.a. Holländisches Viertel) erreicht man nach 15 S-Bahn-Minuten. Nahe dem Hoteleingang gibt es mehrere Parkplätze, die 10 Euro pro Tag kosten. An der

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in late September, ‘22. Historic Potsdam is a very pleasant city that we wanted to explore more than a quick day trip from Berlin would allow. The Maxx was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is an easy walk to Sanssouci Palace, longer to Neus Palace. It is near restaurants and shops (we liked the Alter Stadwacher restaurant), and has an attractive setting near the Brandenburg Gate square. There is a tram line just a block away. If you have a car, as we did, there is garage parking below the hotel. The Maxx is an efficiently managed modern hotel designed to offer maximum convenience and comfort for a reasonable price. The large lobby area has a welcoming bar and a restaurant where breakfast and other meals are served. We didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet, so we can’t evaluate it). The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Our room (317) was large, with modern stylish decor, a comfortable king bed, two night stands (1 with outlets), a desk, an armchair with floorlamp, and a large balcony with a mediocre view over adjacent buildings. The bedroom area was connected to the toilet room on one side and the bath/vanity on the other, with a closet and a minibar with coffee maker integrated into the hallway, an interesting design. The bathroom had a nice shower and adequate counter space, Wifi in the room was strong and fast. No a.c. and the heat is from a hot water radiator. We were somewhat cool the first night, but comfortable the second. All in all, the Maxx Sanssouci is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for a few days in Potsdam and we recommend it.

The hotel is located on the main street of the city of Potsdam, and it is convenient to eat and shop nearby. Because it is not directly facing the street, it is very quiet at night. The shortage is that the hotel price is expensive, the room area is average, and the Wifi signal is not good.

We were here with friends to spend a beautiful weekend in Potsdam. The hotel consists of several closely connected houses, the front of which is the old villa. Here is also the reception and breakfast room. A very well-cared small parking landscape is located around the houses with some possibilities to stay in peace. The reception was very friendly. The parking was very narrow but greatly organized. Our standard room was very small, clean and equipped with the most necessary. The location of the hotel is great. Foot is everything essential to reach easily in Potsdam. Small deductions would be seen at breakfast because the breads were only warmed (and that was bad) on Saturday. Even though the quality of breakfast is only in the standard of a three-star hotel. In general, the hotel is a absolute recommendation. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back to the next Potsdam visit.

Pet- and tourist-unfriendly place. My latest experience very much resembled extortion. I was charged 100 euro for dog’s fur on the bedsheets and 150 euro for dog’s fur on the floor (the hotel representative had to put quite an effort into scraping some with her shoe) and an approx 0,5 mm brown-ish spot on the carpet which they claimed to be “blood” (considering that there was an approx 5 cm black stain on the carpet as of my checkin which hotel apparently didn’t see as something of an issue to me as a guest). I used to like this hotel (despite being placed on several occasions in rooms with obvious sewage issues), until I stayed there with my dog. I presented my dog at the reception at the checkin (that is the receptionist saw the dog). Paid 15 eur per day pet fee and proceeded to the room. No additional rules, policies or verbal requests were presented to me. My dog damaged a pouffe which I informed the hotel about at the checkout and happily paid whatever was asked of me (200 eur). In addition to that I was demanded to pay 100 eur for some fur on bedsheets and 150 eur for some fur on the floor as mentioned above. No oficial price list was presented. No explanation why 15 eur a day pet fee wasn’t covering washing blankets and vacuuming floor was provided, all my questions or logical arguments were ignored. The team of hotel representatives generously offered me a 50 eur discount on cleaning (which I didn’t ask for) only confirming that the amounts weren’t based on any actual price list, because if the hotel really suffered a loss of 250 eur why would they “gift” me 50 eur. I considered it to be an extortion and suggested to call the police. When I came back after 15 min the hotel still hadn’t called the police. As I had an urgent matter and had to leave, I paid the hotel whatever its staff demanded. I think what actually happened is the hotel staff had accidentally or recklessly placed us in a no-pet room (as there was a carpet, unlike in some other rooms. I was placed into that room after finding out the one I was initially given smelt of sewage - repeatedly happened before). And instead of charging their staff, they’ve charged me, so that they can do (if they actually do) for some deep cleaning after an animal to make it suitable again for people with allergies. Staff’s rudeness and ill attitude with me as a client weren’t in line with the hospitality filed’s even moderate standards. Most customers might find this hotel pleasant - which it is, until it is no longer.
