The newly opened Holiday Inn Express under the InterContinental Group has a great experience. Compared with other business hotels, the breakfast is particularly rich. The room area is much larger than that of hotels of the same level. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the front desk is very polite.

The hotel was on western standard for the rooms. They gave tresemme brand for bathroom soaps. Price and location is reasonable. Breakfast could be improved by adding a chef to make scramble eggs and half boiled eggs.

It was quite late when I arrived at the hotel. I thought I wouldn't be able to get a suitable room type. Who knew that the hotel had upgraded the room type? It was really my first stop in the imperial capital and it gave me a good impression! The front desk service was particularly good; the hotel's breakfast the next morning even surprised me. It was very rich and tasted very good. The location of the hotel was also very good; it was very convenient to go anywhere. I will definitely continue to choose here if I come back in the future.

For tourists - it is far away from everything, but quality of the hotel makes up for the location which is not bad in itself, it just requires a bit longer ride to the tourist attactions. The surroundings of the hotel are convinient, with grocery store and restaurants within the building, and more shops, western fast food restaurants, parks, and supermarkets on a walking distance. Room was spacious, modern and clean, with a huge bed and daily cleaning. Staff do not speak English, but it was not a problem as we managed to communicate via translation apps and they catered to all our needs. Breakfast was excellent, there were many options and everything was delicious.

Hotel is pretty remote, with only one restaurant nearby, which is good but very expensive (100+ RMB for a burger). The hotel and its surroundings are a converted ironworks, which is really cool (don't miss the blast furnace at the end of the road), but since they're a new development intended for the 2022 Olympics, you'll need to take a long subway ride to get to anything. Rooms are small but cozy, with all the essentials. Lightswitches are labelled metallic butons, which is cool. Shower is a little weird. Too many knobs with no clear indication of what they do. Breakfast is a mix of Western and Chinese, but since I think Chinese breakfast is criminally underrated, that's a plus for me. It's a toss up whether any given staff member will speak English.
