Spring Yingxiang Sky Garden Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing Branch) Reviews

Great little hotel, very central, clean rooms and friendly staff. Definitely recommend for a short stay, especially for the first time in Beijing. Really good and affordable restaurants around which is a bonus.

The view of hotel is seriously different from the photo and nor luxury at all. Location is located in small alley which is far from nearby metro system. Our room is freaking small and no place to open our luggage. Lastly there are no lifts too and need to carry luggage up. However the staff service was good to address our queries.

Staff friendly and helpful all the time. Convenient to stay for travelling around the places.

The room was noticeably different to what we saw in the pictures online but was still nice. The bathroom smelt very mouldy and stuck to the back of my throat and made my head hurt, I was told I could get my room changed but this didn’t happen. There was also a lot of black marks on the mirror and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly and lots of mould on the tiles of the bathroom floor. The breakfast was, unfortunately, quite sad and a lot of it was inedible. Apart from that, the staff speak great English and are incredibly helpful and friendly. Asides from a few things which can be easily improved, the hotel is in a decent location, not too far from main attractions and is generally visually appealing inside.

Enjoyed our stay a lot in the hotel. There’s free flow of coffee 24/7! Hotel breakfast is good too. Specially thanks to the receptionist Xiao Yu, she is super friendly and helpful! Great to have her to serve you!

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining place was undergoing renovation and we had breakfast room service. Good food and service. Location is close to many restaurants. A good stay.

Good location for access to the city and lots of good places to eat withing walking distance. Staff were ok, apart from the lady at the front desk who barked at me when I arrived, demanding payment 'You pay, you pay' without even checking that I had already prepaid - She did apologise later, but as they say, first impressions count. The room was ok, quite worn compared with the pictures on the Trip.com website, which are not representative of the condition of the hotel, which is now quite bad, but the biggest let down was the Sky Garden, which was one of the primary reasons I booked the hotel - Please see the pictures included with this review and compare them with those on the Trip.com page - The Sky Garden was actually a rooftop dump! In the UK this is classified as false advertising and illegal. The furniture was broken, rubbish everywhere and even washing hanging out. Since the weather was very good, I was hoping to sit out and enjoy the sky garden, but this was not possible. When I asked about going to the Sky Garden, the staff were not even embarrassed to direct me to it! Hotel not worth the money and better places to stay

Really good location with easy walks to the metro and lots of casual eatery options nearby. It is located in a Hutong which is a narrow old town street, so you will be sharing that with people, bikes, scooters and the occasional car. The Hutongs are sort of a tourist attraction by itself, and filled with historical spots, and the walk on the Hutong streets are always enjoyable strolls. The facility is well worn, and could use a refresher but it is clean and the helpfulness of the staff makes it much better. I wish they would turn on the AC for the common areas / hallways more. I understand that guests only stay in these areas a short time, but it makes a big impression.
