Located right at the foothill of the entrance of the Simatai Great Wall, this hotel offers the perfect stay for people looking for an affordable place to spend the night. The hot spring although is within the hotel premises, but is also available to people not staying at the hotel. This however proved to be more crowded. Otherwise, it's a perfect quaint stay.

If your purpose was Sumatai, like me, this is the right place to stay. It's right at the entrance of the Great Wall. The breakfast included was beautiful, and the service was intensive. It was the last day of the journey. I needed a ride to the PEK airport, and I left this problem unsolved until I checked in with a lady who communicates in English. I ask her to help book and volunteer to get a car. And she was able to arrange one. She also arranged time for me to ensure I arrived at the airport on time. She checked me from time to time on the road, making sure I was in the right direction. Thank you so much Zhu Jiarui. My journey ended with a lovely and memorable.

It’s a perfect place to stay…it’s right across the entrance to The Great Wall Simatai Section, the staff was knowledgeable, our rooms were clean, they have the hot springs. Gubei Watertown is like “Disneyland” like environment but with a very good neighborhood feel/down to earth…to where everything is in its perfect place from the shops, hotels, walk ways, the plants, the way the buildings looked, good restaurants, the landscapes and just how everything makes one feels in Gubei Watertown is fantastic! We will definitely stay here again!

Beds are incredible bad, noisy aircon generators, staff cannot speak English at all - I recommend not to go there.

We had a lovely stay at Duan's Quadrangle Inn. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We really appreciated the beautiful location and cleanliness. The breakfast was also nice.

Service was great even though we struggled with language barriere. Room are simple, but very clean with everything except a fridge. Which would have been nice to cool drinks and food when out. Hot springs are great and clean as well. For breakfast you need to wear a mask. Very strange, the masks dosn’t really have an effect in a room where everybody is eating - oh well, it’s China rules are there to have to rules, not to make sense. If you wanted to make sense, you would make sure there would be hand sanitizer in breakfast room… Considering the summer heat, we spend most of time in the nice pool in the luxury hotel up the street - which is free to use for guests at Duan Q hotel. We enjoyed our stay here and would def come back.

The hotel is located at the foot of Simatai Great Wall, and it takes five minutes to walk to the ticket office. The hotel has its own hot springs, both indoors and outdoors. You can see the Great Wall from the outdoor hot springs. The facilities in the room are quite satisfactory. The breakfast is average. I stayed here for the convenience of the hot springs. Avoid the peak period, it is very quiet and comfortable here. The service attitude is good and responsive. I will stay here next time.

Booked online, cost-effective, nice courtyard, drink tea and cards, it's very comfortable to sit in the courtyard when the weather is good. The hotel has a hot spring, no need to make an appointment for the hot spring in other stores, very convenient!

The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, in a typical courtyard style. The ladies provide great service. It has its own hot spring, both indoors and outdoors. You can watch the drone light show at night while soaking in the hot spring, and you can also see the Great Wall. The restaurant on the second floor provides simple meals. The hotel is located next to the Yuanyang Wharf, where you can take a boat, and next to the entrance of Simatai Great Wall. It is very suitable for travelers who stay overnight and climb the Great Wall early the next morning. The luggage check-in service is also very good, which does not affect the visit to the water town with a suitcase. It is a great experience. I hope to check in again in the future!

The room is one of the courtyards, with complete facilities and a great environment! The hot water is very good and the drinking water is great! The breakfast is good! The service is in place! The scenery is beautiful and the hot springs are also very good! The water dance show, Kongming lanterns, and drone performances are particularly exciting!

Choose family room A, 3 breakfasts + scenic spot discounts (scenic spot tickets after discount are 80/person + 3 hot springs). Family rooms B and C are smaller, and there is no room to soak in the pool, so they will be larger. The room quota is for 4 people. Let’s talk about our feelings about the family room A we stayed in~~ Environment: At the end of Gubei Water Town, chat with the Great Wall and walk for 2 minutes to the entrance of the Great Wall. It is a courtyard building with accommodation on the first floor and dining on the second floor. Breakfast buffet Room: Family room A is 45 square meters, which is very large. The bed and tatami mattresses are both moderately soft and the pillow height is optional, making it very comfortable to sleep on. The overall feeling is good, but the TV is smaller, the lights are dim, and there are mosquitoes in the room. If they don't bite, they will fly around in circles and the sound will be noisy.

The facilities are complete and the room layout is reasonable. I have a small idea to play with my children on it. It is also very convenient to take a hot spring bath. The hotel's hot spring can be run repeatedly. I will stay here again next time

Overall: Comfortable living and satisfactory service Room: Just right for a family of three. The room is big enough, the bathroom is big enough, and the bedding is comfortable to sleep on. Hot spring: You can really see the Great Wall, good privacy, separate pools for men and women, the water is hot enough, and there is a sauna room Hotel: simple and low-key design Service: Decent, not overly enthusiastic, but ready when you need it.
