Ariva Beijing West Hotel & Serviced Apartments Reviews

I had stayed in this hotel previously about 10 years back so I was glad to return. But the experience this time was lukewarm. The check-in was quite cold, and the staff sighed when I informed I didn't have a china number. Upstairs the room felt old and dusty, lacking care. This hotel needs a revamp soon to stay relevant.

A convenient location in the Haidian area, within a short walk from Suzhoujie subway station. We like that this hotel provides a washing machine in some of their duplex rooms. I booked a duplex room but didn’t get one with a washing machine initially, but one of the staff at the reception, Ms Ni, made sure a room with a washer was reserved for me the next day. She was fantastic in her service! The hotel sends a pot of hot dessert to our room every afternoon, which is a very nice gesture. The dessert soup always tastes good! And we look forward to it every day of our stay at Ariva.

The price equals the quality. The premise itself is an older building. It is surrounded by highways so expect some noise. Closer to shopping malls.

Not so bad for the location and price. Very noisy in the room as the hotel faces highway.

Location is good. Facilities are pretty clean but seem quite old.

I have been a regular at Ariva for last 10 years. It’s a 4 star property which you could easily mistake for 5 star, but that was before the pandemic. After the pandemic, their service quality had dropped significantly. We returned to China and had 5 pieces of big suitcase plus additional hand luggage. Guess what, we were told there is no person who can help us to carry the luggage to our rooms. After repeated reminder, one boy named Tommy who looked like a trainee helped to carry the luggage to the room. Same thing happened at checkout. The reception person was straight and honest “we don’t have a person available who can help you with the luggage”. I had to take 4 rounds to carry the luggage down by myself. And we are talking of a property which is rated as 4 star!! I felt sad, perhaps the hotel had a hard time during the pandemic and was still recovering from bad financial situation that they don’t have full service staff yet. The reception staff, all were trainees from colleges. In terms of facilities, its still a good place. They have swimming pool, gym, spa and every room I have stayed here is spacious and has a bathtub. I have always loved their Aviva center on 6th floor which has DIY kitchen and laundry area which helps if you are staying for long duration or are traveling with kids. I haven’t lost faith and hope Ariva will have its glory days once again.

Good hotel, nice room. Good breakfast. Reception can’t speak English at all.

I stayed with my family for ten nights. It was very convenient to have a lot of space in the room and there were plenty of options to get food close to the hotel. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean and the furniture not in the condition you would expect from a hotel in this price range.

Hotel a bit old but very functional

It's terrible. It doesn't matter if the house is a little old. The key point is that the chairs are all covered with unknown liquid. I sat on my pants. It's even more terrible than the urine in the toilet. The key point is that you know it's urine in the toilet. I don't know what this is. I complained, and a female manager came over. She was greasy. The attitude of handling things, turned her back to me and told the cleaning lady to ask if it was the cleaning water. The lady looked embarrassed and didn't know how to cooperate. Later she told me it was mineral water. Haha, I believed it. Then the air conditioner was too loud, so I asked someone to turn it off for me. Then the door wouldn't open. The person who turned off the air conditioner opened the door from the outside. I asked him to turn it off from the inside and try. He turned it off 3 times, and it got stuck the third time. Then I watched him forcefully break the door and finally it opened. I had a lot of luggage and didn't want to move. I thought I should change it in case there was a fire and it got stuck in the room. Then I asked to change rooms. I remembered that Ctrip customer service said that the hotel had said to change me to a suite, so I said on the phone, let's go to the suite. The climax came, and he actually told me that I had to take the stairs to get to the suite. I had a lot of luggage, so he suggested that I don't go to the suite. I have never seen a hotel designed to let suite guests take the stairs. I don't want to argue There is nothing to argue. I changed to the next room and slept.

Old hotel, really a bit old and shabby, especially the shower, which is fixed, no hose shower, very inconvenient. The bathtub is yellow and shabby. It's true that in Beijing, the emperor's daughter has no trouble getting married. However, it's cheaper to pay in the store than to sell it online.

The hotel is very good in all aspects. I stayed there for more than a week. The environment is relatively quiet. The room is relatively comfortable. There is also a desk for working. Food and transportation near the hotel are very convenient.

The hotel has large rooms, good environment, clean and tidy. You can see the Western Hills and the Summer Palace from the window. The transportation is convenient, and it is close to Suzhou Street Metro Station, Renmin University of China, and Zhongguancun.

The front desk staff at the hotel, Jianjun, was very enthusiastic and the service was very thoughtful. The sanitation of the guest rooms was also very good and clean. The rooms were very design-oriented, with a good combination of simplicity and Chinese style. The hotel's services were very satisfactory, with cordial greetings and polite calls, which made people feel very comfortable. There were many types of breakfast, which tasted very good and were very convenient to choose. There were also many attractions nearby. The subway was very convenient, and Suzhou Street Station was right outside the door. Parking was also available, which made it very convenient to go out. The location was also very good, and it was a very satisfying stay.
