Great location near Olympic stadiums and subway. Room a bit old.

I had previously quarantined for 10 days at Holiday Inn Express Beijing Temple of Heaven which is much smaller but more modern (HDMI plug/play ready TV, ethernet, furniture etc) and with many bilingual staff. I came to this branch after I booked online, and some advice for international travelers here. Unless you are VIP with a bilingual PA you gonna have to take some responsibility, meaning it's standard to know that EVERY hotel needs to know your date of entry into country and see a valid visa page on your passport. Just get them ready with a post-it to show the reception staff so checking in is not a nightmare! Also I stayed here during the Health Check App requirement, and there was COVID testing literally 100 yards from hotel! Although this hotel is kinda old, with furniture and fittings looking a little tacky, there is a exhibition of fine black and white photographs throughout the floor, pictures are of the 'ethnic groups' (see photo) — someone said it was kinda paternalistic national geographic, but at least it's not like those euro world fair 'savage on display' photos. Now the rooms! Well the Standard Queen room I booked online was not the room I got going by the pictures, and I then booked a Superior room which came with mini fridge, sofa, table/laptop desk [see photo]. Although the rooms were a let down after staying at Beijing Temple Heaven branch, this larger holiday inn has great views on the hotel deck (see photo). Finally there was some weird 'nightlife' going on in the vicinity, I say this because at night I would go on a walkabout and my spider sense was definitely tingling, it may be connected to the Kara Night Club see photo. But I still felt safe as it's tourist part of Beijing.

The check in process for this hotel was truly ridiculous. I waited in line for 15 minutes before checking in. Then the check-in process took about 10 minutes for the regular check in process which seems excessive. Then, the hotel had the forms required for foreigners to fill out regarding their travel history. Forms such as this are standard in China during the pandemic, but these forms were all written in Chinese with no English translation and asked repetitive and unnecessary questions. The form also required that I list the name and phone number of a Chinese citizen living in Beijing who can be contacted in case of an emergency. I understand these form are usually required by the local authorities and are not made by the hotel, but every hotel I have ever stayed at in China except this one provides a translation of the form. After finally getting checked in and arriving to my room, I received a call from the hotel that they needed to scan my passport again because they did not scan it correctly the first time. After coming back to the lobby to give them my passport again, 2 of the 3 people at the front desk could not figure out which pages of the passport to scan (all hotels need the information page, entry stamp, and residence permit). Eventually, someone who appeared to be a manager came and resolve this in a few seconds. I have stayed in several hotels in Beijing and throughout China during the last several months and have never experienced a check-in process like this. A less important issue with this hotel is the room smelled like smoke even though I requested a non-smoking room. I don't blame the hotel too much for this, because that is common in China. Later, I noticed that from my room, I can hear every word from the people in the room next door and I could smell it when they started smoking just as if they were in my room. Overall the room itself was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The room was cleaned every morning before noon and all of the hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was not amazing, but certainly not bad. The room has a stunningly gorgeous view of a lake and Chinese garden. The room is also very close to the subway line 8 & 10 which makes it very convenient to get anywhere in Beijing quickly. During rush hour traffic, the subway was much faster than a taxi or DiDi. Overall, this is not a bad budget hotel, but I will not stay here again.

Gooood Room breakfast room has a great view The waiters were very polite and considerate. It's very close to the National Convention Center Osun on foot! ! It is recommended that you stay here instead of the National Convention Center Hotel if you are going to play.

In this area of Beijing, the hotel costs ¥500 to stay, and the hotel is well worth it. The breakfast options are relatively rich, and the official website shows that an extra breakfast only costs ¥38. Compared with others, I think it is still worth it. The slight drawback is that the hotel's room card settings are not reasonable enough. It is more troublesome to open the door in a certain direction and at a certain speed. So I originally wanted to give it four points for the facilities, but I feel like the flaws are outweighed. The hotel could consider updating the card payment method.

The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the subway station. You can find it by pressing the navigation. It is more convenient to travel. The subway is the fastest way to get out in Beijing. The hotel is very cost-effective, with sufficient heating and good front desk service. It is very convenient to store your luggage before leaving during the day.

Let’s put it this way, it was the first time I saw a big hole in the roof of the lobby, leaking water, and a big trash can was used to fix it; The room is quite big, but there are a few sockets. The central air conditioning is very sufficient and it's very hot. Breakfast is delicious! The omelette chef must praise him for his enthusiasm and skill. He gave us two runny eggs alone.

The room we stayed in was large in size and clean. The window faces the Nationalities Garden, the night view is beautiful, and the bird's nest can be seen in the distance. When I woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, I was surprised to find that I could still watch the sunrise. The hotel's breakfast buffet is also great, with many varieties and good quality. It is adjacent to Exit F of Beitucheng Metro Station, making traveling very convenient. It was a very good stay experience. I will come back next time if I have the opportunity.

The room is large, soundproofed well, and very quiet. There is no need to queue for check-in and check-out. Soon, there are no tourists in the National Park outside the window. The scenery is also good, and you can see the Bird's Nest. The subway is also very close, with both Line 8 and Line 10. Line 8 can lead to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen, Qianmen Street, Wangfujing, Shichahai, Nanguluo Lane and other major scenic spots. The guest room aunt is very good, we need water We were provided with double copies of slippers and other items, unlike some places that are very stingy. We were also asked to write a note the next day, full marks. The supplies are all from InterContinental Holiday Inn Express. I don’t know where they are. It's not that the brand has just been changed, or something. The only drawback is that the mattress is a bit hard. Maybe I'm used to soft sleep at home. I was worried about the bathroom shower being rusty after reading the reviews, but it's not. It's newly replaced and it's very good.

The room is super big. The two 1.5-meter beds are perfect for a family of three or four. The window overlooks the National Park, which is completely unobstructed. It is about a 6-minute walk from the subway station. There are two subway lines No. 8 and No. 10. It feels good to go anywhere. The convenience is that it is a little further to Universal Studios, which takes about an hour by taxi. When I made the reservation, I was worried that the facilities would be too old, but when I arrived, I found that they were too old. There are quite a few choices for breakfast, both Western and Chinese, and I'm very satisfied.
