Pan Pacific Beijing（Near Tian‘anmen square and Forbidden City）

First off, I frequently stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Suzhou, and without comparison, there's no harm done. But the difference between this and other five-star hotels under the same brand is night and day. Three stars at most! Firstly, I'm certain that when I booked, there were only options for single breakfast or no breakfast. When I checked in, I asked if they could provide an extra breakfast, and the front desk said no, which I understood. I told the front desk that only these two options were available for my booking, but they didn't believe me and kept insisting there was a double breakfast option, with a rather dismissive attitude. Was it a system issue then? I'm just sure there were only those two options. Adding breakfast was 188. I asked again if I could cancel the existing breakfast, and the front desk said no, I'd have to rebook, which I understood. Rebooking made the price difference quite significant, so I just had to go eat. When I got there, it was all superficial Western food, very limited in variety, nowhere near five-star hotel standards. Secondly, my booking benefits included a room upgrade option, but the front desk didn't mention it and didn't upgrade me, even though the room availability was clearly good. Thirdly, the drinking water was Ice Dew (a cheap bottled water brand)!! I was truly shocked. Is this a five-star hotel standard??? Even budget hotels don't use Ice Dew anymore. Fourthly, the sink in the room was clogged, and in the morning, the hottest water for showering was only lukewarm. I was freezing. The bed was comfortable, I can't praise anything else. There were no welcome fruits either. This hotel just seems to be for deceiving foreigners; their service attitude towards them is excellent, even giving them small dolls. In short, I will not be returning. For a hotel of the same brand to be this bad is really tarnishing their reputation.

The Minions-themed room was really fun; my kids didn't want to leave! Everything from the toiletry bag, bath towels, and hand towels to the wall decorations were Minions-themed. My children absolutely loved it.

Hygiene: The room was clean, no strange odors, and spacious. Hotel facilities are well-maintained. Environment: Spacious, well-lit, and excellent blackout curtains for resting. The front desk offered a free upgrade to an executive floor room with a great view. Breakfast was very good, with both Western and Chinese options. Overall, it's one of the better hotels in the area.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Tiananmen Square. The room was spacious and even had a bathtub, which was great for a relaxing soak. My child was so happy as soon as they walked in! However, for a family room, I think kids' toothbrushes should be provided automatically instead of guests having to request them. Also, the bottled water provided was 'Bing Lu', which felt a bit cheap considering the price of over 1000 yuan per night. I'd expect better quality water for that price point. Other than that, everything else was perfect!

The hotel was pretty good, and the surrounding amenities were great too! There's a shopping mall right outside the door! The desserts looked lovely, but the fruit wasn't in season and was quite sour. I recommend using seasonal fruits!

Clean and cozy, my kids loved it! They couldn't wait to set up their secret hideout. The toiletries and slippers provided were all Minion-themed, and the little duck print on the soap was adorable.

I've stayed here many times, but this was the worst experience. **Cleanliness:** I selected a non-smoking room online, but as soon as I entered, I was hit with the smell of smoke and mildew... **Facilities:** In the bathroom, only half of the showerhead nozzles were working; the other half were clogged. The water that did come out sprayed everywhere instead of straight down, making showering very inconvenient. **Environment:** The location is excellent, which is why I always choose this place. **Service:** When checking in, they extended my check-out time to 2 PM, which was great. The mini-bar was complimentary for the first round this time, and breakfast was included. I tried the breakfast buffet, and it had a good variety, catering to different guests' dietary needs. The dining environment was also nice, with professional hostesses and timely table clearing. My biggest complaints this time were the room odor and the showerhead. I hope they can improve these issues promptly.
