Beautiful hotel stunning building so many unusual seating areas. Restaurant was so lovely we ate in the hotel to enjoy it which we rarely do. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great location as a base to do the town and visit surrounding area.

Une poussada soit disant 4 etoiles ou l’on se retrouve sans eau sans possibilite de prendre une douche sans pouvoir aller aux toilettes c est juste scandaleux et honteux ! La seule reponse qu’on nous donne « on fait ce qu’on peut » … inacceptable ! Une adresse a fuir!

Het gebouw is imposant. De kamer prettig. Wij zaten op de t****e verdieping. Maar het bed… alsof de veren erdoorheen kwamen. Ontbijt wat in Pousada’s eigenlijk altijd goed is was nu niet heel bijzonder. De bediening (receptie en ontbijt/diner) niet heel vriendelijk, tenminste niet wat wij gewend waren. Wij zaten op zondag in deze pousada omdat alles dicht was hier avond gegeten. Dat was een verkeerde inschatting. Bruschetta was een ontbijtbrood met een gat er in. Kaas erin met klodders honing. Soort kaasfondue. Niet aantrekkelijk. De salades daarna waren nog minder lekker. De vaart zat er flink in met uitserveren maar afhalen of vragen of het gesmaakt had (2 volle borden salade) was er niet bij. Met drank 100.- kwijt. Bizar!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The facility is beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and the site peaceful. The breakfast buffet was very nice. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner, maybe next time! The review needs to have a minimum of 200 characters. I guess I’m not very wordy.

This converted convent is a wonderplace to stay, and right in the heart of Beja. The room was very quiet; the breakfast was wonderful. Our only complaints are that the bed is extremely hard, and the room smells like an old hospital room.

Beautiful posada centrally located in old convent. Spacious and well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. Excellent and very full breakfast buffet, dinner food and service sub-par. Reception upon arrival a bit cold

As it was an old monastery, the feeling of the 750 year old is still impressive. The rooms have been modernized with individual bathrooms etc. but it still has the feel of the old original feeling with its large curved ceilings and the reception is the entrance to the old original Church.
As it is an old monastery, note that it does not look like any of the modern hotels, it is by the police station.
Very quiet in the evenings, I could hear a pin drop, I only wished I had more time to explore the whole hotel.
I will have to visit there again.
