"This is one of the best Pousadas we have stayed at. It is magnificent and very spacious, having a small number of bedrooms but huge spacious areas. Well done Pestana on not ruining the magnificence of the building while creating an exceptionally comfortable, indeed luxurious, hotel. The bedrooms are the old monks's cells (Yes although it is called a convent, it was Franciscan monks who stayed here). We stayed on the second floor and had a huge vaulted ceiling so the room remained remarkably cool despite it being 30C outside. The breakfasts were super reflecting some of the local produce. Beja is very much worth a visit. It is unpretentious but contains an amazing array of wee museums that are worth visiting. We will certainly return."

"BELA STORY A NECESSITAR DE PAIXÃO. A ideia do espaço é muito feliz com uma receção impactante e muito calorosa. No entanto, aqui e ali, a ausência de paixão na gestão da casa, de que são exemplo no nosso quarto , a presença de humidade na casa de banho e cheiro, a fechadura da porta sem armação ou as floreiras das belas janelas sem flores e os descuidos dos pombos… Um pouco mais de paixão e esta estória teria um final muito mais feliz."

"Really enjoyed our stay at Vila Gale Nep Kids, it is indeed a very good vacation for children and parents have just enough luxury to survive the trip as well. Some remarks although not blocking for visiting again: - Water sprinklers in the morning make the entire road from the room to the restaurant wet and this made it very slippery and dangerous for our kids - For when we we're not outside in the pool: some toys can use an upgrade, just but some extra IKEA trains and other toys, it's not a huge investment but most of the toys were outdated, missing pieces, or broken. - I haven't seen any member of the hotel near the pool area's at all, i get it you want parents to watch over their kids but a bar, drink or something was really missing near the pool area's. - The "slot" machines in the main building near the restaurant where you have to enter 1 euro to play for 20-30 seconds are really a rip-off and bad for children and parents, either get rid of them or replace it with a free to play console room, you are losing a lot of credit by using this silly machine to manipulate children, i don't think it's making you that much but its costing you more than you think."

"Location is good if you travel by car because of free parking and it's 15-20 min walking to the town center (3-5 min by car). The room was quite big and in pretty good conditions. But there weren't some amenities you expect in a 4 star hotel like slippers, bathrobe or kettle/coffeemaker. Bed and pillows were good. Buffet breakfast was typical (cheeses, hams, eggs, cereals, pastries, fruits) except for lack of vegetables. If you don't want to have an unexpected visit of a housemaid at 9-10 o'clock in the morning (without _any_ warnings like knocking on door or questions) use "do not disturb" sign!"

The rooms have been renovated and have a minimalist decoration that allows perfect hygiene and the bathroom. Excellent air conditioning and the existence of a refrigerator. Excellent quality/price ratio. We recommend!! "

"The rooms are simple and spacious with modern decoration. Located in the heart of the old city. The breakfast has local produts and a variety of options. Overall a good stay in Alentejo. The bed mattress is very uncomfortable. It makes a whole and leans to middle of the bed. I would advise to replace the mattress to improve the quality of sleeping."

"Nice rooms, bed was quite comfortable, very clean including the bathroom. The room was a good size with a little fridge in it. The breakfast was great with a good selection including hot food. It's located in a very yet area with a couple of cafes and a restaurant opposite. It is a long walk to the historic centre, 25 mins or so. The only downside is you have to slam the door shut when you leave the room there was no way to do this quietly as the handle didn't move. "
