Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center

We were prepared when booking this hotel from existing reviews by others. What happened turns out disappointing. The room on 2000 series on second floor seems an old unit, no shower floor towel, bath tub a bit old but functional, no fridge and so on. We were prepared for all that considering the price and location. At bed time, we found two bugs on bed linen but dusted them off. It's tropical atmosphere, what one expect! The next morning after breakfast, however, I found a few more on my bed. I pulled out a one of my credit card and killed a few. When pulled up my bed cover further, more showed up ...... See the bug in the video clip. I called front desk who sent a room services personnel to look at it. The personnel seems surprised to see the bugs as well. The front desk lady was nice and quick to act and changed my room to the room on 6000 series and okay with us. I requested to talk to their manager. Once back in late afternoon that day, I approached frondesk rep who went to backroom to fetch for the manager. The manager showed up in a while and apologized lightly, and started to push back by saying it's tropical weather here,bugs are normal, and many more. I told him that the room is infested too bad and need a thoughrou cleaning to eradicate the infestation. The manage then went on to explaining the same. I feel disappointed. For this hotel, I do not recommend this hotel until they do a good job. Or if you do like us, not exactly though, do make sure to ask the right question to avoid such a room. Good luck next time.

The most unorganised hotel I have ever been to. Check in is from 3pm and so we arrived at 4pm to be greeted to a huge queue of people unable to get their room as none of the cleaning was completed. Reception told us it would take 30 mins to get a room which was a complete lie. We kept going up and checking and they kept saying another 10 minutes which carried on for 2.5 hours at which time we only received the key to 1/4 rooms I had booked. Other guests we spoke to waited over 4 hours for their room key. We were given one soft drink as a concession for this which I thought was unacceptable. Instead of waiting around to be told further fake waiting times, we left the hotel to go back to town and then on returning at 11pm, the new receptionist had no idea about the issue and struggled to find our other rooms we had been waiting for, resulting in more waiting around after already being frustrated about the situation earlier. Eventually the receptionist from earlier appeared in a very dismissive manner and shoved a post it note with our remaining room numbers for the man to find. Not good service at all. The next day we booked a shuttle bus to the airport. We got to the designated spot and they had run out of room on the bus despite us pre booking. This means we had to wait another 30 mins for a bus to be organised resulting in us having less time at the airport to get through security etc. The actual hotel is fine with a nice pool area (one of the reasons we had booked but were unable to use due to no room access for hours on end) but the management of this hotel is atrocious. Wyndham need to look at this urgently as it is dragging down their name as a trusted hotel chain. I will never be staying at a Wyndham again if they can’t guarantee a stress free experience.

This hotel is old and weary needs a good upgrade on the complete facilities

There was no breakfast included or shuttle servis at no charge. I probably wont stay here again.

They did not have room ready for us until 7 pm, we waited the hole time in a bench in the lobby. Also, they did not have towels in the room. They promise us a complementary breakfast for free but they did not gave it to us. Totally disaster, never coming back again.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful Pool area and a wonderful breakfast buffet. However, there was some dissatisfaction with the room. The bed was comfortable with nice pillows. The air conditioning was a bit too intense and we turned it off on the second night of our stay. In the bathroom the shower was just a weak drizzle and the toilet leaked. It would drip for about minute and then run to refilling an unending cycle, likeky a bad flapper. I had to turn the water off so we could sleep. Maybe we just got a bad room.

Not enough people at the desk (Usually one). They only left wash cloths Once! only hand towels Once. rude nasty Scales on their face, not friendly people, bad experience first day of arrival. Key card always having to be reprogramed, because they will not work (another trip to the desk to wait in line). Definitely do not go to the bar and Restaurant.

Terrible. First, I waited around 3 hours wating for my room. Then, the room was dirty. Finally, they promise me breakfast to go but it was not ready.
