"Our booking was confirmed by the owner the day before arrival, after a 4 hour drive we showed up to closed gates. A few phone calls later (thankfully our driver stayed with us and assisted) we were told booking was not available as she had no rooms and was closed. Terrible service, if we had taxi’s or arrived later in the night what would we have done. Had to pay a large amount to get a room down the street at a Hotel."

"Me and my husband flew into San Jose and needed a place to stay for the night. Terrazas was a very close 10 min drive from the airport. We were greeted by Roberto who was very friendly and gave us recommendations on places to eat nearby. We also felt very safe, there was a security guard and it was gated. The rooms are spacious and the bed was pretty comfortable. We enjoyed our walk to the restaurants nearby. In the morning they have breakfast ($10) per person, it was delicious :) Would stay here again!"

"This is an interesting hotel because of the historic building and location. I would give it a four star rating at best. My comparison is swayed by my travels in N. America and Europe. The rooms are a little tired and have just basic amenities like soap and shampoo. The staff were excellent! the grounds were attractive. There was excellent restaurant choices, although I did not have anything I thought was outstanding."

"Terazzos de Golf Boutique Hotel is a beautiful haven in the midst of the city, 15 minutes from the San Jose Airport. The family that runs the hotel takes great pride in the lovely surroundings they have created. Rooms are well-stocked. The terrace is beautiful, & is the setting for a delicious morning breakfast prepared by their chef, Carolina. They have a membership to the golf course that can be used by guests, including a pool. Although we used the hotel for our first & last nights in Costa Rica, it would be a serene stay while visiting nearby areas."
