Great neighborhood, nice and quiet and especially close to the airport if you have an early flight

We just arrived from the airport with 10 large pieces of luggage, Estaban helped us unload it all and stored it in the office for the night. When we were through unloading, he immediately presented us with glasses of water! In the morning, he helped us load it all up again. The room is much larger than what appears in the photos and is quite charming. I love the walk out patio! The traditional Tico breakfast was also quite tasty!

We had a nice and peaceful stay here. It’s like staying in someone’s home so you can’t make any noise and just relax. Please note that it’s not THAT close to airport and it’s a $20 dollar fee. Most hotels in the area provide free shuttles. Other than that, the staff was great and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic.

Luna Inn is beautiful. All the staff we spoke with were strong English speakers. There is gorgeous woodwork throughout, handcrafted by the owners themselves. They have several secure doors and gates to prevent unauthorized entry. They have a lovely little sculpture garden in their courtyard and have plans for further improvements in their backyard that already offers a beautiful view of the cityscape and the mountains. We were there in the summer and the entire place was opened up with a lovely breeze throughout. I cannot praise Esteban enough, who I believe is a part-owner. Not only did he renovate and decorate the property, he also was instrumental in helping me navigate San José, not only offering his car for rent but even helping me run around town and find the best places to buy the remaining items for my brother's wedding that was happening later that day. I can't thank him enough. We received a level of care and attention that goes so far above and beyond what we could ever reasonably expect. I would gladly pay twice what they ask to stay there and hope to stay at their sister property during a future trip to Costa Rica. I can't recommend them enough.

We highly recommend Luna Inn B&B. It is reasonably priced, comfortable and clean in a lovely property, close to the airport (rate included pick up and drop off), with a lovely breakfast included, and provided a low cost and convenient rental car for our journey around Costa Rica. There are nice places to eat nearby. Esteban, Ariana & Ariana’s mum looked after us like family, nothing was any trouble and Esteban was helpful on everything from advice on what to see and getting around. Luna Inn was our home base while we tripped around Costa Rica, so we came and went a few times and couldn’t have been happier with our choice :-)

We loved staying at the Luna Inn B&B twice on our way passing through San Jose to the Osa Peninsula. It is so convenient to the airports but in a nice neighborhood. The taxi will cost you about $15. Adriana was very accommodating and Esteban so friendly and full of information. Esteban was able to meet us, as we arrived from the US, which was so helpful . There is a Wonderful nature event at the far end of the garden, where the leaf cutter ants are busy bringing leaves to their nest. Just a 10 to 15 minute walk away is a delicious Indian restaurant called Taj Mahal. Walk up to the main street and go right two or three blocks to a mini mall with restaurants and delicious bakery for dessert. Two of the rooms have a view to the mountain. All around a great place to stay, avoiding San Jose traffic.
