The room I stayed in was a business-style suite facing the main road. It was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. There is free, covered parking at the back which was useful. The windows opened which was good as it was dry and hot in the room. I could not get the TV to work other than BBC World although eventually I managed to tweak the box and get it to work. The room furnishing was incredibly dark (wallpaper, curtains and light covers were all in dark material). I had to ask the reception to replace a broken bulb in one of the ceiling lights and the bedsit lights were so dark it was impossible to read by them. The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss and there were cigarette butts permanently stuck out of the external butt holder right by the front door. The housekeeper did pop by and apologise. The staff at reception were helpful and pleasant and when prompted sorted out the necessary issues.

First time to stay here but certainly won't be the last. Lovely clean room with a great shower in the bathroom. Had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning and everyone was so nice and friendly. There is also a car park at the back of the hotel which was really handy and it was free. We would definitely stay here again as it was quite central to a lot of restaurants and takeaways so if you didn't have a car you could easy walk to them. All in all a lovely place.

Lovely hotel, not a chain! Breakfast really good. No walk in shower which is a problem for people with mobility problems, but that is the only issue

Stayed 10/05/24 - 13/05/24. Avoid this place at all cost! After waiting for over an hour and a half for check in, (complimentary tea given while waiting) we were given our card to our ‘Double Superior Room’, which was booked several months in advance. What a disappointment to say the least. They should have labelled it, ‘ Double Inferior Room’. The upholstery chairs were badly stained, carpets stained, heating was broken, mould in the shower, carpet had come away from the track, a total trip hazard…..Complained to the reception, but they could not move us, as there were no other rooms available. They gave us a complimentary dinner for this misfortune. Third and final night of our stay, they were able to move us to an improved room. The staff there were unhappy and grumpy, as it was obvious they were under staff. Very unhappy customer!!!

Good location, free fast WiFi, free on site parking which is an absolute bonus in Belfast!!!! lovely room and bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and free water is also always a nice added touch. Lovely lobby and bar and restaurant and all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only thing is the water from the hot tap was seriously scalding hot and there was no safe in the room. The food was simply not good. Dinner was ok but lunch was terrible. Made a toastie by sticking two bits of bread in a toaster then adding cold fillings to it. Honestly felt sick for hours after it. They also got our order wrong and overcharged us and the pints were not good. Breakfast was ok but nothing was really properly hot which is disappointing

Just had an amazing stay at this hotel. All the staff were lovely and very friendly from Piers on reception and Sam in the restaurant to name but a few! The breakfast was buffet style and brill! The food at night/snacks during the day if required were great too! Our room was good with all the amenities tea/coffee and toiletries. The bed was huge and very comfy. The location of the hotel was ideal with the hop on/off bus stopping outside....ideal if you did the tour! Just down the road lovely bar The Post House and a short walk 20 min into the centre for a vast array of bars/restaurants. We throughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel. It is in the university area but we never encountered any noise if anything the tree lined street and quietness is great. You get the true Irish charisma at this hotel rather than one of the modern establishments!

Nice situation in a quiet area with tour bus stop outside. Beautiful large room well maintained. Slight confusion over restaurant opening times. Very friendly staff. Breakfast could be improved e.g. topping up could be better. Would recommend staying there

Where to start? Me & herself thought we’d pop round on Friday evening to ‘The Greyhound’ - the self-styled hotel bar. Herself took a seat on the terrace and at one point phoned me as she thought I might have wandered off and was searching the environs for her! Nope - I was just “being served” A “Tonic” - I don’t think the poor lad on work experience who was manning the bar was even aware that a “Slimline Tonic” was even a thing! Flat beer - 3 pours before an acceptable pint was produced, by a ‘senior’ - also not of this parish - and a second round, where a “lager” was served up cunningly disguised as a pint CIDER! Given the level of alternative establishments in the area, I doubt we’ll be in a rush back!

I stayed here with my friend on Saturday night. Upon our arrival at reception, a male receptionist was checking peope in ahead of us. When he finished he mocked the guests he had just served to another female receptionist, who looked very uncomfortable. Then, while checking us in he answerd the telephone and said "we are really busy at the moment, ring back in an hour" and hung up the phone. We were shocked. He then gave me and my friend a double room (large stains on carpets) even though we booked a twin and he told us it was a twin room. I asked about breakfast which we had paid for and were told it was from 8am, which is very late. We expained we were running the Belfast marathon at 9am and could we avail of some sort of breakfast before then.... his reply was "Breakfast is from 8am, so ill put you down for 8am?" How on earth he expected us to have breakfast at 8am and run a marathon at 9am is beyone me...all we wanted was toast, some fruit and tea but no luck or any offer of an alternative. He was so unprofessional and completely incompetent and so arrogant. When we arrived in our room we made 2 phone calls about the lack of another bed in our room he and he eventually sent housekeeping (who were very polite) up with a kids camp bed (photo attached). My 5 year old wouldnt fit in it. Brought to his attention in reception and only when I insisted we were not staying in a double room with a kids camp bed, he said to give him a minute while he checked if they had a room available across the street as he thought they had a twin available there. I asked him if it was defintely a twin room and he said "yes, its a double bed with a bigger camp bed". I pointed out that this was not a twin room but a double with a camp bed. He left us waiting 32 mins while he checked this double room and when he returned he started serving other guests and completely ignored us. We ended up returning to our room and i had to sleep on the sofa in our bedroom. We had no breakfast the following morning. If I could give this hotel a 0 rating, I would. This male staff member will single handedly ruin this hotels reputation with his disgusting, unprofessional and arrogant attitude!!!
