Koompartoo Retreat Bellingen

Amazing timber cabin in the forest but right near town! Everything was perfect from the top quality linen on the comfiest bed with soft pillows and mozzie net to the beautiful bathtub with mineral salts and dried rose petals. Super soft bathrobes were amazing Pod coffee was great as was little Weber on balcony for brekky cook up. Aircon was wonderfully efficient on a hot, humid weekend and we could put the electric fireplace on (without heat) for that cosy cabin feel. Loved the balcony swinging hammock seat to lie back with a glass of red or beer and listen to the forest sounds and read. Will recommend to everyone and definitely be back. Only 4 cabins which are very private from each other. Well appointed, very clean and comfortable. You feel like you are sitting in a tropical retreat with the convenience of only being a 1km walk in to Bellingen for supplies or restaurants or strolling through the many shops.

Such a beautiful setting and the lovely cabin was well appointed with lots of thoughtful extras. It was a perfect setting for a few days away, listening to the bird song and relaxing on the veranda. And just a stones throw from the town centre. Highly recommended.

had a wonderful relaxing bath and the robes just topped of the evening. Bed was super comfortable and the whole experience was tranquil and relaxing. was an easy walk to the town of Bellingen where we had a lovely Mediterranean meal. Was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds chirping in the trees close by.

We absolutely loved it here. Sadly only for one day and night, but very worthwhile for $290 per night. Self contained and gorgeous. Lovely hot water instantly, very cosy for Winter, and supplied essentially everything we needed, and a bit more. The room is large and pretty as is the deck overlooking the beautiful garden. I wouldn't have even known we had neighbours if I couldn't see the other cabins. The host Kristy was just lovely and we will be back again for sure. Rainforest regeneration happening next door. Listen to Whippoorwills, Bell birds and Butcher birds, so lovely. Short walk to all of the cafes and shops and Pub in town, which are many and lovely. Definitely recommend for a stay in Bellingen.

We enjoyed our ‘retreat’ in Bellingen… very different from any of our other holiday accommodation in Australia! A welcome bottle of wine and milk were very much appreciated from Kirsty. Very spacious accommodation and very quiet! We have a similar rental property in Devon UK so very nice to be on the ‘other side’! We would have stayed longer had we known. Luckily the local market was on during our visit- you must try and catch this spectacular! Great location to visit the waterfalls and National Park…
