Diggers Tavern

Great rooms in the motel and friendly bar staff. The food was great and generous and a good price. Outside non-smoking and separate smoking area was good. Inside spacious food menu was great and lots of specials options. Reasonably priced drinks food and accommodation.

A fairly new block built at the back of the tavern. Room was very quiet as I think most would be, large and appointed in normal motel style. Bathroom and room were very clean. The only downside was the carpark. The tavern uses the public carpark located behind the main street (but right beside the tavern accommodation). I confess to being a little worried about the security of the car during the night, but all was fine, however we did have to keep a close eye on teenagers riding skateboards right beside our car in the carpark. The entrance to the accommodation was not easy to find (around the rear of the building) There is no lift from the carpark to the accommodation, so we had to carry our bags up two flights of stairs. The connected tavern is well located in the main street and we did not hear any noise from the patrons when in our room. Overall, a pleasant stay in a clean, well-priced, well-located property.

I have stayed at the Diggers on a few occasions, and I can confirm it is always very clean. Bathrooms are clean, the linen is crisp and fresh, and the rooms are fairly spacious and well appointed. The only downside is your vehicles are not terribly secure, pick a room that has good overview of the carpark if you want to keep an eye on your vehicle.

I really liked the accommodation and the cleanliness of the rooms. The housekeeping was up to standard. The staff was awesome and so welcoming. We loved our stay and we would definitely come back. The only thing was the walking up to our rooms but it was understandable due to the renovations. Overall, our stay at Diggers Tavern was amazing :)

Staff were amazing! The bistro has the best feed - I’m still thinking about it! Beautiful little town. The tavern is great, local but friendly. Only downside is the scaffolding rear to the parking but I am sure that will be finished in no time. Staff were amazing unlocking tavern doors to use those entrances instead of the scaffolding (one of our travellers has a disability and it would have been a difficult time all for them). All round nice stay! Thank you! Must also try the butter factory cafe while in town- you won’t regret it!

I booked into hotel, but had to come back that day. The hotel were very courteous and gave me a refund. I will revisit town in the future and stay at Diggers

Comfortable bed. Fairly quite for a hotel. Lovely town.

Not bad except for the fire alarm going off at 4.00 no on-site manager to assist. Luckily false alarm.

Conveniently located, clean and quiet considering it’s a pub
