This was one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The sites are clean and flat (which if you are a camper, you know how important that is). Our site was close to the pool and clubhouse which was great after a long day of sightseeing. The sightseeing talk held every day at 4 p.m. is well worth the time. You get a lot of good information about how to get into DC. After this talk, we felt more comfortable taking the Metro and that worked out perfectly for us. If you have a car, you can drive to the College Park Metro station in about 5 minutes. Parking is free on the weekend and $4.95 for the entire day during the week. If you don't have a car, the Metro bus comes into the park so you can get to the Metro station on that. The pools are clean and have lifeguards. Having the pool after a long day of sightseeing, especially in the heat was the perfect way to relax and cool down. They offer a number of tours into DC. We took the night monument tour. It was a coach bus with a great driver and the tour guide was terrific. We saw the beautiful monuments lit up in the evening. Definitely worth the cost and the time. Next time we will try one of the other tours. The food at the clubhouse, while not necessarily the healthiest was yummy. Try the cheeseburgers, trust me you won't be disappointed. We loved Cherry Hill Park and without a doubt will be returning.

There are so many good things to say about Cherry Hill Park. It is a wonderful place to stay. Our site was level and backing in was easy. The location was so convenient for visiting DC. The metro bus stops right at the campground. The campground even had a shuttle offering rides to locations around the grounds. We rode from our site to the bus stop several times. Even though it had all the benefits of being located near the city, the campground itself still had a nice rural feel with trees and plenty of amenities to enjoy right there. We had fun playing mini golf. The course was only $1 and was in good condition. It was one of the best campground maintained courses we have experienced. The office is open well into the evening and staff members are very helpful. We had an issue with the electrical at our site one evening around eight. Maintenance responded to our call promptly, changed the part on the electrical post and had everything in working order in no time at all. The quick response was very much appreciated! The office was able to accommodate our request to shift our dates slightly, arriving and leaving one day early. They were very helpful and made it so easy. We highly recommend Cherry Hill Park!

Absolutely the best rv park we have ever used. The facilities are second to none. The cafe by the pool makes delicious food, and the staff is pleasant and very professional. Our campsite was spotless, and the site was level. Cherry Hill is a wonderful place to stay.

This was our first family road trip with our camper, travelling from Ontario Canada on our way to Florida. We decided to stop at Cherry Hill so we could explore Washington DC for the weekend and I'm so glad we chose this park! I wish we had more time to enjoy the park itself and all of its amenities. Very clean park, friendly staff, well stocked store with lots of souvenirs, and good sized RV sites. We are already planning another trip down here for the end of summer to stay longer and enjoy the campground! Thanks for starting off our road trip with a positive experience :)

My husband and I have stayed at numerous campgrounds and this is one of the best if not the very best. I had never been to Washington DC before but my husband had. The campground offers buses that go right into the city, tours of the city, night tours of all the most important monuments (which could not have been better) and wonderful amenities. The RV store is the best my husband has seen at any campground. If you don't want to worry about parking, you have at your fingertips, an easy way to access Washington. Also, there is public transportation that comes right to the camp ground. The hot tub, unlike most campgrounds, is enclosed and very pleasant. The laundry is exceptionally modern, clean and coin operated. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone wanting a short or long stay near Washington. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If you have questions, they have answers. We were there for three and a half days and had a top notch experience.

This campground should be the standard by which all campgrounds are measured. This facility is very professionally setup and run. If you are interested in viewing DC this park provides all the options you could want to make the experience special and easy. For a destination location this park is one of the finest anywhere in the US. The campground facilities are the best and suited for any size rig. There is something on the property for all ages. The amenities such as laundry rooms, on property cafe, DC tours, etc. are the best.

A campground in Washington DC? Who knew. Premium Log Cabin: Clean as a whistle. Lots of hooks for towels. Toilet paper is Scott's 1 ply. Air conditioned, full bathroom, small kitchen, living room with a table that can seat 6 and 2 couches. Amenities: I only took advantage of the putt putt and the pool, but I had a great time doing both. Issues: - Hornet's nest on the roof - The bus that goes from the metro to the campground never came (I waited for over an hour during alleged hours of operation). - At $300/night and $7/day for each guest, it was an expensive stay.
