Melia Benidorm

After reading the reviews on here I wanted to cancel my holiday!! BUT so glad I didn’t, the hotel is lovely, yes half the pool area is being worked on but it didn’t impact my party of 10 girls holidaying. The rooms were a good size with plenty of storage, the bar areas great and the pool area lovely. We saw no trouble anywhere and 1 harmless old homeless man on our returns to the hotel in the early hours. The hotel is close to everything and staff friendly. I would stay again.

Last year, stayed at the hotel next door, flamingo oasis and we wished we payed the extra and went there instead. The lobby and reception area as you go in is quite nice and clean. Look of the rooms were ok and standard but every time we used the shower, the water would leak underneath the floors and even the walls? Completely flooded our room every time. The room was just a place for us to sleep so was fine. No body used the pool that was open as it was freezing cold and the pool was extremely dirty! Especially that they’ve fully renovated this side of the pool! Sun beds and floors were filthy with dirt and a lot of bird mess everywhere. You couldn’t walk around bare foot your feet would be black. Didn’t see them cleaning the pool area once. Food wasn't good at all. Very little choice and variety. We’re both not picky eaters at all but the food was cold and dry so we couldn’t eat it. For breakfast, even when replacing the food once empty, thinking it would be fresh, it wasn’t. Bringing out freezing cold food that they’ve cooked hours before. We were half board but went out most nights after every sit down meal in the hotel. We always gave the food a go everyday but it’s honestly a waste. Didn’t use the entertainment as we went out every night. The bars on the other side of the road were great and family friendly too. You can see that they treat Spanish tourists differently to others in the hotel. We booked this hotel not knowing that the pools were under construction. Their website stated that the would be completely finished by end of march. Having looking at the reviews, all said that the pool area has not finished so I emailed the hotel. They said one half is open from April and other side won’t be done until Middle of may. Still not stated on their website so everyone that’s booked, beware! By looking at the pool area, this absolutely will not be done in less than 2 weeks. If you’ve booked and can change hotels last minute, I would! And I wish we did. Huge let down by Melia and will not be returning. We’ll book the flamingo oasis next time.

Very nice hotel, clean and tidy room, bed super comfy. Very nice location. With a great few restaurants and bars nearby. Highly recommend sizzling steakhouse and Big Bens bistro! Breakfast was great too at the hotel, plenty of options and you weren’t rushed.

Clean and comfortable hotel. We were visiting for 3 nights in April travelling with my wife and daughter. We stayed on The Level in a Grand Premium corner room. This was on the 6th floor so high enough for us, great views, big terrace, 2 beds and a sofa bed. Room was clean and had the facilities we expected. Staying on the Level was brilliant. Separate check in greeted by Carman who was very friendly informative she couldn't have done more for us. The Level gives you separate area for relaxing, snacks and drinks in the day, 5 to 6 Premium drinks and snacks, felt very spoilt. Big thanks to Rosa and Toni who work in the Level they couldn't do more for us. Enjoyed the breakfast and snacks. Good choice. Hotel was presented well and couldn't fault. We found one of the outdoor pools was being renovated which BA didn't tell us but they have one and the other should be open soon. There was an indoor pool which we didn't use but going past it to get towels it seemed nice. There was a spa area and games area. Open reception with various plants. Seemed they have entertainment although we were out in the evening. Checkout was easy and were asked if we had any issues (where we needed shower gel and a fixed door couldn't fault getting this a quick turn around) We would definitely recommend and stay here again. If you can get The Level it's worth the money. Thank you all at Melia Benidorm 😍

The entertainment was the best of melia. Best sangria with Eva and diana. Very good view, the staff is very nice, I really love the environment with the palmtrees and the entertainment, you feel like you are in mexico. Thank you Girls and melia benidorm

Stayed here for a few day for my friends hen do, hotel was beautiful. Rooms are modern with good facilities and rituals toiletries. Breakfast was always fresh and tasty with plenty of options. The hotel pool was being renovated so I didn’t use it.

HOLA. I returned once again in march. And what a wonderful time I had.. I met David c.g.e.x team and the Beautiful. Miream. David is a perfect gentleman and Miream is a perfect Beautiful lady..on arrival at reception I was met By Bellan Fernando and the Beautiful Luka. After check in I went up to my beautiful room witch was Emaculat as always. Then Met George the manager and yet again .? Another perfect Gentleman. The Hotel was Spotless as always. Then back to reception.wher Bellan and Fernando became my Spanish teacher's. Then the Biggest suprise if all.? Was to meet.a fantastic Animation team.. I had so much fun and laughter it was unbelievable..thank you so much team. Thay made my stay exceptional. The food in the restaurant was excellent.. my room was cleaned Daily by another beautiful lady. Fátima. Was do Profesional. Friendly. And very helpful. So now it just leaves me to say.? Thank you T David c for all the jobs you gave me.? BELL Boy. Egg fryer. Security. Peace keeper. Translater. Genaral manager. HA HA HA. But seareasly. Go and meet the staff. Make yourself known to them. Introduce yourself to the and you will find that your tret like royalty as I do. Don't just wait until you come home then right s negative revi.
