Hotels Near LUV SL in Bentota

This is more a resort then a normal hotel. with good facilities . Even though it is more then 20 years old it is still o'kay and is currently being updated and renovated. Back when it first opened ,it was probably the best resort in all of Sri Lanka!! Quiet location ,a bit out of town ,but easy to get a Tuk Tuk to get around. it is about 2 hours by bus from Colombo ,or probably quicker by train ........ but not as much fun! Staff where freindly and helpful if needed.

Indian hotel service is not too warm, the environment is very good, the room is not big but very style, the lawn is very suitable for walking and leisure. The biggest problem is that the food is all Indian food and not used to it. The price is not cheap.

Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe room. Were first shown a room which was so small & dark it had no room for our 2 large suitcases. We asked if we could change rooms & they showed us a larger deluxe room over the restaurant but with no outside space so declined this room & eventually were moved to room 1 which was larger & brighter & looked like it had been more recently renovated than the two other rooms. It is worth noting the deluxe rooms are advertised as being larger than the standard room but in some of the rooms most of the extra space is on a mezzanine level up some steep stairs which has another bed. It was too steep for us to use for our cases & definitely could not be used for young children or elderly . We are in our early sixties & able bodied & found it quite inaccessible & quite frankly dangerous . The gardens & pool area are the highlight of this hotel & are beautiful . The man who looked after the pool & sun-beds was a delight & made sure you had your sun-bed wherever you wanted it & even placed frangipane flowers on your sun-bed! The pool is in excellent condition & very well kept. However, most of the hotel does need updating to bring it up to its former glory. The bar area was particularly uninviting with its dark decor & no proper bar as such . The dining room had no ambiance but food & drinks were good & reasonably priced. During our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka, this was the only hotel which had drinking water in plastic bottles & shampoo etc was also in small non reusable plastic bottles. The management do need to review their environmental policy. The hotel still has a lovely relaxed feel about it & the staff were lovely & helpful. As our flight left late at night, they allowed us to stay in our room for longer at no extra cost on our last day which we were very grateful . Our rooms was kept spotlessly clean. Not sure I would stay again as the trains at the bottom of the garden do operate until about midnight & start again at 4am & did wake me . The trains are approx hourly & were a novelty at first but when it affected my sleep every night I wasn’t so keen. It is worth noting that all hotels nearby along the same beach back on to this railway line so this is not exclusive to Club Villa.

OCEAN View hat 2 Häuser. Eines ist 150m von der Bahnlinie entfernt und das andere bei der Bahnlinie. Zum sauberen traumhaften Strand sind es nur paar Meter über Rasen entlang von hohen Palmen. Am Strand kann man die eigenen Schattenliegen und das benachbarte Strandrestaurant nutzen. Wir hatten das wunderbare Zimmer mit AC und Deckenventilator und eine geräumige Küche mit überdecktem Balkon im ersten Stock mit Gartenblick. Die Besitzer führen das Gästehaus selber mit grossem Engagement. Das Personal ist freundlich und gibt sich Mühe. Die schöne neue Frühstücksterasse mit Blick zum Strand und auf die Bahnlinie im 1. Stock ist jetzt fertig gebaut. Alle Plattenböden sind Blitz blank. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und der Preis inkl Frühstück war äusserst günstig.

Stayed here for 16 days.right on the beach.cant praise the staff highly enough special mention Scooby Suzy and Shan.very clean and comfortable room.away from main town so peaceful and quiet.the food was great.the prices were low.nothing was too much trouble.considering the last two years with the pandemic this place is very welcoming and safe.i will defo be going back at some point in the future.all in all had a fab time and can't recommend highly enough.reviewers who grumble about Wunderbar,stick to Majorca...!! A good hotel on the first line of the ocean, located away from the road and from the city, in the off-season there are no cafes and places to eat nearby, so you have to eat at the hotel, you can take a buffet for lunch and dinner. The beach near the hotel is the only place for swimming in the off-season, a natural breakwater protects the shore and forms a kind of ocean pool. Friendly staff, quick check-in, a large and warm pool, funny badgers/squirrels, monitor lizards dart around the territory became an additional bonus to a great time. Those who are looking for a relaxing holiday away from the reality of Sri Lanka, you are here!!

The location of the hotel is particularly good. The room is clean and air conditioned. It is relatively clean and very leisurely. I also sent a postcard for our hotel photo, which is quite interesting.
