We had a room with an open-air bath. The room was spacious and the hot spring was great. The staff were kind and polite, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time ^_^ And above all, the rice was delicious! thank you very much!

At first, I was a little worried about the location, but it wasn't a problem as it was on a bus route and could be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. It was very comfortable and nice as there were many amenities and restaurants nearby. If I were to review the accommodation, it was by far the best. I really liked that the manager was friendly and cheerful, and he could speak some English, so it was easy to communicate. The private hot springs and large public baths were all really great, and the water was so good that I really want to go again. The room was spacious and nice, and I thought it would be uncomfortable because I thought there was no private shower room, but it was very comfortable as there was a private shower room and massage chair. This is an accommodation I would really like to recommend to my friends. I had a great time.

Accessibility is good and there is plenty of space in the two parking lots. You can go directly to the hell pilgrimage site from the bus stop right in front. The internal hot springs have separate public baths for men and women, and vending machines for beverages, milk, and beer. You can also play table tennis. There are a total of 3 family baths, and one family bath is larger. You can use the hot springs as many times as you want. The dinner kaiseki was all delicious, including the famous Jigoku Jjim, and I was able to enjoy a variety of flavors. I was also satisfied with the Japanese sake here. The staff were friendly and I didn't experience any discomfort during my stay, and I think I could communicate well even if I spoke in English. In addition to convenience stores, there were large supermarkets nearby, so it was possible to see a wider variety of Japanese products. There is also McDonald's. One thing that was disappointing was that although there was no noise between rooms, you could still hear the sound of cars outside the window, and there was some fluff from the dried towels.

I think alot of the review calling this place old are just wrong this place is excellent if you want to do the hells tour and go around bath hopping . It has a traditional feel to it and the staff where helpful and the half board the food and way it was displayed was often the best part of the night.

The room has a bath, but it hasn't been cleaned at all and the dirt is very noticeable. I'd like to post a photo if it's okay.

Dinner at a two-stop hotel is not served slowly. Most of the food is placed on the counter as soon as we arrive.

I had great time with wonderful hardworking staffs here. They are all taking their jobs seriously, and hospitality services were beyond professional expectations. Onsens and bath options are so many that i got to enjoy several different onsens within this facility. Dinner and breakfast were extremely luxurious that i cant believe how relatively cheap to enjoy! Location may be hard to access from beppu station, but if you ask staff to reserve van taxi for large party members a day in advance, no big deal (2050 yen from beppu station to this ryokan, but we all gave extra 1000 yen for tips for great taxi service drivers).
