The resort's location is its most prized asset ! Travelled as a big family and booked the 3d2n package. Well organised from their office near jetty for boat transfer. Breakfast, lunch and tea was very underwhelming especially by Malaysian standards. Breakfast spread was limited and repetitive. Was annoyed to be informed all adults must have the same thing for lunch - fish n chips day 1 chicken chop day 2. To be fair, dinner however was good for both nights. Not once were we asked for dietary preferences, it was just served after headcount was confirmed. Rooms were tired and on the small side but the location especially the beachfront chalet more than make up for this. Snorkeling was not guided, the boats will take you to the location and off you go. Overall the island is still one of the better ones in East Coast and was not disappointed.

The bartender was very rude and you had to get your drinks from the counter. We just asked where this ship was going, and the bartender said it could go anywhere, even the United States but we are in Malaysia. Good thing is the snack served is good.

Catering is a real concern. The food is simply execrable. I am sorry to say that my experience at the restaurant "Le Désastre Culinaire" was totally deplorable. Not only was the quality of the food unbecoming of an establishment claiming to offer a heavenly setting, but the service was also very poor. Upon arrival, we were greeted by unwelcoming staff who seemed unmotivated to make our meal enjoyable. Unfortunately this trend continued when we received our dishes. I ordered a breaded schnitzel with non-spicy meals...and they gave us a double dose of spice!!!! not to mention that I received a piece of schnitzel that looked more like a piece of rubber filled with cord and fat. Not only was the texture unpleasant, but the taste was simply unbearable. Additionally, the juice accompanying the dish seemed stale, adding to my discomfort. After trying to put up with this disappointing dining experience, I finally decided to ask for my dish to be returned. Unfortunately, even this simple request proved to be a challenge, with staff seeming annoyed by my legitimate request. Overall, I strongly recommend against patronizing this restaurant for anyone who appreciates quality food and decent service. "Le Désastre Culinaire" is a place to avoid at all costs if you want to spend a pleasant and tasty evening....a shame because this aspect spoils everything for the trip because the chalets are rather decent... I don't understand why they don't do not take into account the comments to review their price of dishes (because it is not cheap) and especially the quality...

This is the 4th time we have come to Abdul's Chalets, the last time in 2017. The bungalows have been renovated and are pleasant. My criticisms are about the staff and the restaurant. The staff is not friendly. If you don't say hello first he completely ignores you. One of the boys at reception is worse, he doesn't look at you, doesn't offer to help you with your luggage. The restaurant food still hasn't improved. We ordered barracuda on the grill, the fish arrived on our table without any accompaniment. We had to ask for potatoes in foil, billed at 3Rm per potato. One of them was rotten inside even though it arrived split in two. So we were going to eat at Tuna Bay which is much better. I do not recommend Abdul's Chalets.

The chalets are practically on the beach, but they are not intrusive like many other structures on the island, on the contrary, they fit very well into the landscape. We booked directly with the property and although the photographs on their website were not very beautiful, we found that in person the rooms were really comfortable and spacious, equipped with everything you need (except a hairdryer). We had a room not directly on the beach, but even if it was behind, being high up we could see the sea very well, so excellent! There is an attached restaurant where we ate a couple of times even if it doesn't have many dishes, while the breakfast is excellent and well priced. Above all it has a magnificent view of the ocean. It is also possible to pay by credit card. The beach in front is quiet and the seabed is full of fish, furthermore with the taxi boat service you can reach the furthest beaches, while the closest ones can be easily reached with a nice walk.

We only went for dinner a couple of times, and we absolutely nailed it. The first day we tried the chicken satay and the fish skewer... and it was all huge, great for the price and above all, delicious. The next day we repeated it but we reversed it with fish satays and chicken skewers. Everything delicious

My husband and I stayed for 2N/3D in Perhentian Tuna Bay Resort. This was our second time to visit Perhentian islands. Everything was very well managed. We took the snorkeling package with airport transportation. 1- The airport pickup went smooth 2- The welcome at the office to take the boat was very welcoming 2- The boat trip was good 3- We booked the beach front room. It is stunning because it is directly next to the beach 4- snorkeling next to the main beach of the hotel is beautiful reef. lots of fish and look for the clown fish family in the anemone. 5- The food is good. It is so much better than the other resort we stayed in . And they are very helpful in the restaurant. The rooms are clean 6- the two snorkeling trips were good We swam next to the green sea turtles, We saw more than one shark while snorkeling in the shark point. A lot of reefs to swim and see a lot of fish Only one negative thing is the poor wifi . You can only have wifi connection in the restaurant. I would like to thank the management of the resort for making this trip an unforgettable one.

Booked sea view bungalow directly with the structure contacted at the end of October 2022. We arrived on the island full of expectation and were more than disappointed. Even though we had booked well in advance they gave us the first bungalow next to the restaurant. Up until then we thought, how could we have been among the first to book and you gave us the worst room? Never mind, people in a place like this won't stay that late at night. Instead it was a nightmare. Only when we went to sleep did we notice that our room was connected to a generator so large that it was housed in a wooden shack four times the size of our bungalow. It was a nightmare. Even with earplugs it was impossible to sleep. So at dawn without having slept a wink we went to complain at reception and they told us that they didn't have any other rooms. We left. So of the 4 nights planned we only had one and we had to reschedule the trip which had been organized down to the smallest detail. We were deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. A spartan place is fine but a huge generator next to the room is really too much. Go elsewhere!!!!

My stay at TUNA BAY has been simply incredible. For a week, I was able to enjoy all the wonders that this place offers. The beachfront location is simply spectacular, with stunning views. The food at the hotel is exquisite, with a wide variety of both local and Western dishes. In addition, the restaurant has views of the sea. One of the things that impressed me the most was the proximity to the coral reef, which is located right in front of the hotel. It was a unique experience to be able to snorkel. The care and service provided by the hotel staff was first class. They were always friendly, attentive and willing to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Another highlight is the pick-up service from Kota Baruh airport and transportation by own boat to the hotel. They made my arrival and departure very convenient, punctual and hassle-free. In short, this hotel offers an exceptional experience in all aspects. If you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy the sea and receive quality service, this is definitely the right place.
