"We stayed at the hotel right by the pier on the Perhentian Islands. It’s literally 800 meters away for 5 MYR — you can walk, but we had luggage, so we used transport. The room was large and comfortable, very clean. The reception staff are friendly and helpful with any questions. If you’re going to the Marriott on the island, there’s a free transfer to and from it. We really liked the breakfast: the coffee was very good, there were fruits, and the selection has a European style — which suits us very well. The restaurant is also open in the evening: we had dinner — it was fine, but it seemed a bit too much black pepper, breakfast was definitely better. There are European and Chinese power outlets, plenty of them, and tea and water are provided in the room."

"The room as per the picture taken by the host, bed sheet, selimut and one of the towel x bersih ye all of them got stain..the sheets even got blood stain on it. Water heater boleh pakai tpi struggle sikit la sbb lama punye kot and the shower head position sgt awkward ye 😅. Amenities only 2 bar soap wifi xleh pakai perabot is really old and kena naik tangga nk smpai ke lobi. the only pros about this room is aircond baru and bilik luas jgk la for the price. "spacious chalet style room but the parking a little bit muddy..maybe because of the rain season..the aircond was controlled to function on/off on its own ..making the room felt hotter.."

"So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling – very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott. Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding."

"This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we generally love everything, with only minor drawbacks. It's definitely worth splurging on the higher-category rooms and avoiding the standard ones. The location is super convenient; on one side, you have the island's best beach, and on the other, Barath Cafe, which became our go-to spot for meals. The only downsides were a noisy air conditioner and occasionally weak water pressure, but I think that's a common issue on islands. Otherwise, everything was great. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay."

"Sorry for the low rate.. booking online via trip.com.. from Perak to here which almost took 6-7 hours.. to arrive.. the hotel that was booked seems to have people check in first.. double booking.. even though the owner already paid back the booked amount .. it still feels like an error .. he is tired .. there is no need to find another hotel .. again the cost will increase .. sorry .. the owner will take a small amount .. pls check with the registered provider .."

"We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining."

"We had an amazing 5-day family stay at Mimpi Hotel on Perhentian Kecil, and we are honestly more than satisfied. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises, just even better in real life. The hotel offers many activities, which made our family holiday even more enjoyable. The access is also easy and well organized. The breakfast is varied and very good, with something for everyone. And considering the quality of the service, the prices are more than affordable. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring. Always available, very reactive, helpful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Their kindness and positive attitude made a huge difference in our stay. We also deeply appreciates the respectful and peaceful atmosphere. We leave with beautiful memories and highly recommend this hotel. We hope to come back again!"
