"I would say the service is improved and much better when compared to last year 2025. I enjoyed staying here, great location and the family room type is comfortable for 2 people because of big bed. However the room no. 611 there are 2 times issues because of the main door broken and got locked from inside, also the bathroom door as well got locked inside because of the door slide.  The foods as restaurant is decent and good potion, a little bit pricey for service taxes 10% and another additional taxes more 8% which mean after your meal you must pay 18% taxes."

"If you're coming for the beach, and only for that please do go to this resort. One of the nicest beach in these Islands. Main issues where the lack of pressure in the shower ( cant get rid of the sand ) , the rooms and all of the commodities are outdated. The resort lives of the beach and its reputation. Food is alright, don't expect anything great from this. Taxi boats are mandatory to move around, price is doubled starting 7pm, so when you need to go outside to eat for example. No taxis when raining so be careful to not get stranded on the other side. Happened to us and we had to book a night in another hotel ( which was the best sleep we had our whole stay ) Rooms are decent, bed wasnt cleaned before we came in and was sandy / dirty. Lots of noise coming from the wildlife around the hotel, so if you're expecting a quiet stay, go elsewhere. The beach is very very nice, you can see turtles, sharks and lots of different species of fishes. The whole resort needs renovation. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5, and that's only because of the beach, the fishes and the sunny weather."

"This is our third time staying at Fairfield Kuala Besut. Room very comfortable and very clean. There's toothbrushes and toothpaste in the toiletries box. Adding cotton buds would be good. Checkin n checkout were quick and efficient. Nice breakfast with good choices though limited."

"The best place to stay at when in Kuala Besut. A huge property with big rooms, some of them having bathtubs too. Very close to beach as well as jetty. There is a cosy in-house cafe, a big restaurant and nice garden cafe in the premises. Had dinner and breakfast, and the food was prepared and served with lot of care and love. Had a wonderful stopover night stay in the hotel before our journey to Perhentian. And the best part of this hotel is its Manager, Areef, who is gem of a person, and I have hardly met someone as helpful and friendly as him... He always speaks with a lovely smile on his face, always ready to help with anything one needs, drove us to Kuala Besit market for shopping, again came back to pick us up for return to hotel. Next day, he dropped us at jetty for our onward boat journey to Perhentian. He also helped us in booking boat as well as arranged car to airport on our return from Perhentian at a good discounted rate. And the most generous gesture by him was calling his friend during our dinner, and they together played live music only for us that included some Bollywood numbers too, making the entire ambience very pleasing. Rarely in our trips we are touched so closely by someone as Mr. Areef, and his hospitality for that one day will remain unforgettable forever."

"It was a great experience at Alunan Resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The villa was clean, spacious, and had breathtaking views of the sea. We loved the rooftop deck for relaxing, and the snorkeling trip arranged by the resort was fantastic. The food at the restaurant was also delicious OMG we do have great time eating here with a variety of choices. Would definitely return!"
