All good free parking 2 min walk into town were other pubs with sky for football restaurants shops etc room very clean room 5 a bit compact but fine Service was excellent from the bar staff and breakfast staff breakfast was severed from 8 but because i needed to be away let me have mine at 7 30 am reallly good Pub downstairs cosy and with a wide range of food and beer i would stay again thank you

We Visited the Plough on a busy Sunday lunch, there was prompt and effective service and a beautiful atmosphere. The Food is very good. It's cooked well, and it looks good on the plate and it taste as it should. All in all a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

Stopped off after a few hours shopping and wish we hadn't, to be honest. The menu is nothing like their website, quite outdated, to be honest. We had to wait for 1 of the only 2 menus in the restaurant. Took a while for staff to take our drinks order, and they were wrong. ( No pinot wine, ice in the drink) We ordered starters and mains. My son ordered the dirty chips to which he was happy. We ordered bread and olives, and the bread was toasted, to which we've not that before. The mains were 2 beef burgers and Mac & Cheese. The burgers were a mile apart, one cooked OK, the other was dry and burnt on the underneath. Staff were friendly but will not be rushing back.

Stay at the plough on the 10th Jan really good free parking location good 2 min walk to were pubs eg sky sports restaurants The pub is very nice room compacted room5 but very clean .the lady behind the bar was great i needed a kettle from the room she brought one up straight away also breakfast was 8 am but because I ask for 7 30 they did thus fir me thank very much I will stay again

Well I called in for a few drinks before going to travelodge the bar was hardly accessible because of seating one female member of staff had not got her hair tied back serving refusing to polish glasses making gestures at a customer also very rude

Went for Sunday lunch, what a great experience, two of us had roast beef and one had the burger which was a big offering and well presented, the roast beef was very tasty and cooked to perfection, as was the side of cauliflower cheese, would definitely recommend and will certainly be going back

Email sent to the property; Hello, I stayed on Saturday night (25th Nov) and I was thoroughly disappointed with the noise level with which no warning was given. I booked this room months ago and therefore there has been plenty of time for you advise me about the function that was on in the pub. We got back from a local wedding reception by 11pm, we walked in to our room and it was almost vibrating by the base of the music, I could literally hear the lyrics word for word. I came down to complain but no one was really bothered, you advised it would finish at 1am. Music continued past 1am and then to add on to the noise the moving of the furniture almost felt like you were having a joke. To pay £120 for a room to not be able to get to sleep until after 2am due to the venue’s fault is totally unacceptable. You’ve already got my money so I don’t expect you to offer any kind of refund, goes without saying I’ll give my own review on this but for future guests, there is no valid reason why you shouldn’t give some warning of such events so guests can make their own choice whether to continue with the booking or not. Doesn’t quite match up to the pictures. Seemed a great quirky pub - lovely, cosy and nice vibes in the pub area. Unfortunately the rooms aren’t the same. Bed was dipped on one side and semi collapsed. Unfortunately you could also hear every word from the pub below…with music and loud chatter until the early hours. Imagine other rooms may not suffer from this as much - may have just been this rooms positioning. If you want a good nights sleep - this doesn’t fit the bill unfortunately. Wouldn’t return for hotel but would for a pint!
