Breakfast is OK. The subway is nearby. Transportation is convenient. The surrounding area is also quite clean.

The location is very good. The hotel is right outside the train station. It is very convenient to take a taxi. There are also Chinese restaurants nearby. The rooms are large and the price is not expensive. I recommend staying here when visiting this small city.

Very impressive hotel with expansive and well appointed rooms. Could only be closer to station if it were in it. Some may find this a slight negative with a room on the station side as the platform announcements are audible and frequent. Get the buffet breakfast, it is worth every euro!

Text und Fotos: Peter J. Glasmacher Anlässlich unseres 47. Hochzeitstages waren wir in diesem perfekten Hotel. Wir wurden von Frau Sarah Bendisch so herzlich empfangen, dass wir uns sofort wohl fühlten. Sie erklärte uns die örtlichen Gegebenheiten, die Einfahrt zur Tiefgarage etc. Das hauseigene Parkhaus können wir nur empfehlen, da in der Bahnhofsnähe kaum Parkplätze vorhanden sind. Da sonntags das hauseigene Restaurant einen Ruhetag hat, empfahl uns Sarah Bendisch das Restaurant „The Bernstein“, etwa 15-20 Minuten fußläufig vom Hotel entfernt. (siehe sep. Bericht) In unserer Suite (Nr. 415) fühlten wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Alles war in einem sauberen Zustand. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls in einem sehr sauberen Zustand. Eine Kaffeemaschine, Minibar, ein großer Bildschirm rundeten den Aufenthalt ab. Das Frühstücksbuffet war tatsächlich mit der Schulnote 1 zu bezeichnen. Es fehlte tatsächlich an nichts. So etwas haben wir in unseren über 50-jährigen Reisen nur ganz selten erlebt. Es gibt gar keinen Platz, dies alles zu schreiben, aber diverse Feinkostsalate, Lachs in einem kleinen Glas, Eierspeisen in allen Variationen und ein schön gekühltes „Kribbelwasser“ (Sekt) werden wir so schnell nicht vergessen. Bei unserem nächsten Bielefeld-Besuch kommt nur das Steigenberger Bielefelder Hof infrage. An dieser Stelle ein Dankeschön beim gesamten Team.
