Great hotel: a nice place to stay at the river side near the old town. The calm rooms are spacious and well decorated. A successful mixture of old and modern architecture. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have also a nice bar with a good service. Unfortunately the one star Michelin restaurant on the first floor did not fit our expectations.

This hotel was one of the best hotel's that we've stayed at. The staff were so friendly and helpful - in Reception and at Breakfast. The room was lovely and, even though it's in the Old Town, it was lovely and quiet. We stayed for 3 nights then went back for 1 night after being in San Sebastian and they welcomed us back like family. We also forgot to take our valuables from the safe when we went to San Sebastian but they kept them all for us when we went back. Such a brilliant and friendly hotel

Great location right next to the old town. Love the modern look, the raw concrete walls, the huge beds... Very friendly staff. Keep in mind, the car parking is across the street, over the bridge, so not at the hotel. We didn't try the restaurants nor the breakfast.

First and above all, the staff: super friendly and professional, a mix that is not so easy to find. Everyone working in the hotel is always smiling and helpful, girls ( and a young man ) serving ( good ) breakfast are always very nice and kind and do their best to make you feel comfortable. Staff working at the reception desk : just perfect. Our room was really nice, comfortable and clean. The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy Bilbao and all its beauty. I also ordered a massage and the experience was great, get it if you can and ask for Gorka, a young man who is really good at his job, professional, really friendly and nice. In the end, we couldn't ask for more. 100% recommended.

Top verblijf in dit modern vormgegeven hotel aan de rand van de oude stad. De kamers zijn soundproof en toen ik bang was dat de lift lawaai zou geven, kregen wij een upgrade naar een superior kamer verder weg van de lift. Uitstekende, persoonlijke service dus! Het hotel is in een oud betonnen huis, modern afgewerkt zodat je overal de oude muren nog ziet. Heerlijke bedden en een perfecte locatie.

The staff and hotel were excellent! The location is very convenient for walking to many sites and restaurants. The hotel is pet friendly, very much so. If with a car, a reminder to reserve for parking as well. Also, best to have a small car. Otherwise, there is a lot nearby and a discount is offered for 24 hours, which was secure and not much of a walk back to the hotel. The hotel was spacious and well-appointed, very comfortable and clean.

This hotel was brilliant! Excellent location in Bilbao Old Town, this is a great base for exploring the city. Our room was clean and spacious, with comfy beds and great bathroom facilities. The staff were amazing, always happy to help, very friendly, and up for a chat about what we had been up to in the city. When we checked in we were given a map and were told all the best places to visit for sight-seeing, shopping, pintxos and drinks. 100% recommend and I will be back for sure. Thank you Hotel Tayko!

I had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Takyo. The staff are so friendly and so eager to help and offer advice. I was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival. All the little touches really make a difference -especially to a solo traveller; they immediately put me at ease. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Bilbao again.
