I had to make phone calls and wait outside for half an hour because I couldn’t get inside. The room had only one ceiling window that couldn’t be covered. The soundproofing was terrible. I do not recommend this hotel ‐ it was a bad experience"

"I stayed at the Axel Hotel Bilbao and was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel has a sauna and a Jacuzzi, plus a rooftop pool which is perfect for relaxing. Check-in is from 3 PM, but since my room was already available, they let me check in a bit earlier, which I really appreciated. The staff were very friendly throughout my stay. Definitely a very positive experience. I would stay here again!"

It was clear that the housekeeping team takes immense pride in their work, ensuring a pristine and hygienic environment that immediately made me feel at ease. The reception staff provided excellent, warm service. The breakfast was perfect—not too big, not too small, but just the right selection for an amazing start to the day. The management is clearly doing a fantastic job. With this level of quality and attention to detail, this hotel truly operates like a four-star property. I can't wait to return."

"Really bad exprience for this level of hotel. We have stayed in an upper level room, supposedly a more expensive room for 3 night stay, but it the time with cold bath water, not even once we had hot water. Also, the level above is the rooftop (we were at the 6th level) and It isn’t very well constructed or isolated, as it is all the time, even at night, with all the noise of furniture dragging, like tables or chairs, and we can’t rest properly. Also, for this kind of hotel, they charge you for the use of spa facilities, you need to reserve first , and they are really picky on the agenda availability. Positive points: location and cleanness. All in all, a really bad deal for this level of price hotel."

"This is the best hotel we have stayed in for the price I’m so glad we chose this one as it was a very comfortable room huge twin beds, very comfortable mattresses, pillows and bedding. One comfy arm chair plus desk chair, suitcase stands, glasses, mugs, kettle etc mini fridge , bottled water provided, excellent shower with quality fittings. Very quiet room and excellent location for the city centre and the river and metro & tram stops. Highly recommend"
