PROs Central location within 15 minutes of both Guggenheim and Casco Viejo. Staff members were friendly and accommodating despite the fact that they were busy. We left our luggage with Reception before check-in and after check out. That was very convenient. Room and bath were spacious. Open air lounge area was pleasant. Despite the great staff and location, I will not repeat the experience because of a major CON. CONs 1) No A/C in the rooms. The A/C rule of Spain applies to public spaces not private rooms. During our stay there, temperatures outside ranged from 11-31 degrees C. We needed to cool off in the room at the hottest times of the day. No A/C meant the room was incredibly uncomfortable. We were advised to open our windows. We did this and experienced 2 negative things: 1) entry of small bugs and 2) loss of privacy. Our windows opened out to the outdoor lounge and across us, we saw our neighbours' through their windows. We were sure we were visible to them as well. 2) 4 star hotel with no welcome bottles of water, no robe, no slippers, no room service before 730 PM, and some amenities like vanity kits that have to be requested in person at reception - en serio?!?
