The hotel was in a good place, the room was cosy and quite warm en suite room was clean and tidy could do with upgrade on mattress would stay again and recommend breakfast was included nice selection at breakfast cereal cooked breakfast toast marmalade tea coffee orange juice apple juice good old round choice

HOTEL IS SELF ENTRY VIA KEY CODED LOCK BOX - NO STAFF ON SITE. Access hotel by X21 bus from New Street station or there is on street parking. Text message with key code and instructions texted to me at 2.10pm not sure why there have been so many bad reviews. We stayed in room 7, extremely clean with a large TV. You can log on to your streaming services as well. Shower was fine, with some toiletries and towels available. Only downside was there were only Tea and Milk, no coffee or sugar. Also tiny expresso cups, instead of mugs. Bed was a creaky due to metal frame Great value for money

Please avoid this place unless you're desperate! Staff was so rude on the phone, unclear instructions. No bloody sign stating this is the 'Johal Mini Hotel'. We felt so suffocated & uncomfortable, me & my mate left in 10 minutes. Waste of money!

Very little communication from host. Had to call them to get into the hotel. It was previously a student accommodation which has been quickly and lazily turned into a 'hotel'. Lists rooms as doubles yet the beds are 3/4s. Drawers of wardrobe did not close properly. There were some stains on pillows (flimsy and uncomfortable) and towels. Says it's 'budget friendly' but you'd find much better elsewhere at a similar (if not cheaper) price. Also says its in the heart of Birmingham which is incorrect. Stay if you're desperate for somewhere to stay near the University of Birmingham and/or QE otherwise ignore. I would not stay again.

I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choices at the buffet, so there’s something for everyone. The room was spotless, and I loved the big TV—just what you need to unwind. Overall, it had everything I needed, and for the price, it was great value. I’d definitely stay here again.

I tried messaging the property for check in information and did not get a response via *******. The only option was to call the property and it was difficult for me as I only have a data eSIM and had to rely on my friends to call on my behalf. It took ages for someone to pick up and it has been a stressful and frustrating process. Room was small but decent for the price. Breakfast was supposed to be included but the door to breakfast room was locked even though it said “open from 8-9am”. No code was provided for unlocking the door to breakfast and nobody was around to provide any assistance. Will not recommend this to anyone

No email received - this may have been due to a technical fault but when I tried to phone no answer. I went to the hotel could not make contact through phone or door, was scared in the area so left
