"A very classy room I actually turned up slightly earlier than expected as my train was early to Birmingham. So I press to tell if I could check in early at around midday and they were more than happy to check me in however I decided to drop off my luggage and attend a meeting. The staff are very helpful and pleasant, and I had my usual additional request of having a room facing the canal. Unfortunately I was given a room on the opposite side to what I requested however went back down to the reception and the staff was so helpful in getting that sorted are they actually gave me the right room?"

"The room was pretty quiet. I stayed on the basement level, so there was no window, but since I was only there for one night to sleep, it didn't bother me. The bedding and bathroom were very clean, and there was a door curtain. The bed was quite soft. Having the toilet and shower right in the room was very convenient. There was also a full-length mirror and a vanity table in the room. The front desk offered free, very fresh lemonade! However, my bedside lamp was broken and hadn't been repaired; it squeaked all night, which really affected my sleep. I've told them and hope it gets fixed soon."

"appalling pressure emails to check in on line - which I ignored- cheerful efficient receptionist booked me in despite emails received a day or so before indicating that not checking in on line might cause difficulties. still only one lift working (seems a long term problem). allocated room on 5 th floor - corridors well carpeted, clean, and rather posh! room clearly upgraded and very nice with posh bathroom, huge tv which was easy to negotiate, kettle & lots of t, coffee & milk - appreciated. efficient heating, comfortable bed but only one pillow & no spare. took 7 minutes to reach reception in the morning as only one (very slow) lift. fabulous vfm, but they need to get lift sorted permanently & stop threatening that not checking in on line could cause difficulties! - actually recommended!"

"The hotel has a great location, just a 10-minute walk from the train station, and close to the library and canal area. The room was quiet and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the view from the window was nice. The air conditioning in the room couldn't be adjusted, which made it a bit cold. Free coffee and tea were available all day. The stay included a standard English breakfast, which tasted good. It offers good value for money. The front desk service wasn't very enthusiastic."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk from Xin Jie train station, making it very convenient for getting around. Museums, the library, and the canal are all within a 10-minute walk. The English breakfast at the hotel is plentiful and tastes great, much better than outside restaurants. The room was clean, the environment was quiet, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in ahead of time, which was great service. The only area that needs improvement is that the bathroom drain is quite slow. This might be due to an older building renovation where the plumbing issues couldn't be fully resolved. Overall, it offers good value for money."

"Went with my daughter. as we were seeing Fatboy Slim at the O2 and it’s location to there is literally around the corner and not far from the station or the shopping centre. It is very modern and clean and the bed was so comfy with gorgeous crisp white cotton sheets . Will definitely be going g back when we go to the 02 again!"

"Great location in the jewellery quarter with everything we needed within walking distance. Room was spotless, although slightly small but perfect for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay again"

"I had a really lovely stay at this hotel and would happily go back. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to actually relax. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and check-in/check-out was quick and smooth. The location was super convenient, close to everything I needed but still felt calm. Overall, great value for money and a very easy, pleasant stay."

"Located on part of the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston so good location for academic conferences / visiting the university, also short distance to dental hospital, cricket ground, tennis centre etc. Plenty of free parking including blue badge and EV charging. Check-in was quick and efficient. Angela, who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. There is a large bar which serves smaller meals throughout the day and also a restaurant in the evening. The bar food was average price for hotel food (£12+ for sandwich with some soup)  and average quality. Room was clean and tidy, with modern decor. It was very spacious and well equipped with seating and table, ironing board, plenty of pillows, pod coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods, tea bags etc. Black out blinds worked well and there was minimal noise from other rooms / corridor. Would definitely stay again if in the Edgebaston / Birmingham area. "

"Everything was great. Its close proximity to the train station makes it perfect for those on a tight schedule. The luggage storage service was incredibly convenient. We managed to explore Birmingham in a single day, dropping off our bags early in the morning and picking them up in the evening before catching our train to the next city. It made the whole experience simple and efficient."
