My friend is disabled and in a wheelchair. Easter Monday 2024, we had been to a music venue and decided to walk down to this hotel, as it was a good landmark to call a taxi from. My friend in the wheelchair needed the toilet, so we headed across to the front entrance. There was a gentleman at the door, who didn’t want to know, despite seeing my disabled friend in distress. We politely asked if we could use the toilet very quickly and that we would leave straight away but no. He even consulted the manager who was also working this night, and he said no. I appreciate the fact, that we were not paying guests but this is still pretty disgraceful! Shame on you!!!

Booked this hotel well in advance (July 2022) for Springsteen concert. It took 2 months for the hotel to inform me that the confirmed booking was cancelled. This information came after the date the hotel closed, so very poor communication. I'm really disappointed that Ibis and the Accor group were very unhelpful and refused to rebook me into alternative accommodation at the price I had booked at. Obviously 2 months later prices had increased. I booked through *********** who were equally unhelpful. But I expected more for Ibis.

Not much to fault with this hotel. Clean room, friendly staff and right where I needed to be. It's about 2km from City centre and a long walk or a taxi ride if you are not familiar with Birmingham. I went for the football, as the stadium is just up the road. If you are not a football fan check the dates as the bar area can get a little lively on match days. Really good experience all round.

First night too much noise till late.last night 1045 till 1245 banging
Of doors people chatting on phone.banging my door slammed of doors.when I rang downstairs the women did nothing at all when I rang bk she wouldn't answer.and shut the safety gate b4 3pm to stop people coming in well she didn't handle it well the whole check in was full With too many people.seem like safety isn't safe I'd shut the gate in the afternoon.and when I left it was still shut at 1130am.never ever again.not good lots of noise in the night.

Friendly happy reception staff, extra pillows and fans delivered to the room, would go the extra mile for the customers. Great free parking, short distance to city centre - handy for Ubers. Would definitely stay again.
