Terrible place!! Overgrown with ****s in front … hardly any parking at all (perhaps enough for three cars. Room 5 where my colleague slept had the worst bathroom I’ve seen in years at a hotel or guest house. His toilet also wouldn’t flush. My room on the second morning had issues and shower wouldn’t work, so I was asked by the manager (if that was who he was) to shower in my colleagues room!! What a cheek, if I pay an extortionate amount of money which I did for this awful place, I’d expect to have a working shower or a refund!!! The curtains are flimsy to when the sun comes up the room is lit up which means you can’t sleep. Clearly due to religious reasons, this establishment don’t serve bacon or pork sausages in the morning. Not a train smash but would have been nice to know. Lastly, you actually eat your breakfast at a tiny table in the reception area. When we asked for our invoice, we couldn’t even get that because … “they ran out of printer ink” you couldn’t make it up!! I have stayed in about 150 hotels in 3 years and this is the 2nd worst I’ve ever stayed in. Awful place… whoever have rated this place 4 out of 5 clearly aren’t used to staying in nice places. This is a 2 star at most!! The sooner whoever owns this place realises the faults with this establishment and closes it, the better. To be honest, it’s not even in a convenient location. There is nothing I can say positive about the Arden house. I wouldn’t even stay here again if it was free and that’s the truth!! The funny thing is, they have a sign outside with the name Arden House in it with 5 stars under it. The owner sure has a good sense of humour though.
