This is a lovely characterful hotel. It has a great cocktail bar and breakfast was very good. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Location was perfect for us as we were dining nearby. Very comfortable, spacious rooms.

Great hotel and staff very friendly. We booked a suite which was nice and spacious. Bathroom wonderful. Best shower I’ve ever had! Breakfast delicious, hot and cooked to order. We ate in the bistro on the first night and the food was fantastic. Nice romantic a**osphere and the waiting staff were also friendly. Reception was great. Check in and out was easy, however check in is from 3pm - we arrived at 3:20 and our room wasn’t ready, so the receptionist gave us a voucher for two drinks in the bar - which was fabulous!

A very nice hotel albeit a bit quirky. The lift is tight & corridors windy with uneven floors. The standard double room was nice but couldn’t close the window due to poorly fitted window & had stairs leading to the bedroom or bathroom depending on which way you’re going. This can be tricky after a night out. The old traditional fittings are a nice touch & the rain shower is lovely. The dinner & breakfast service was spot on with lovely staff & great food.

Popped in after a walk through the busy centre. Lovely qwerky place under a hotel with history. Pool table , music etc. Small but plenty of seats Reasonable price drinks. Staff friendly and well mannered. Not to busy and over powering with drunk loud ppl. Recommended . Will pop in next time. X

As usual a wonderful place to spend an evening, Joanna is always friendly and welcoming in the bar whilst having a professional manner about her service. The restaurant never fails to provide a varied and tasty menu at the right price, Mike and Ben are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Certainly recommend the Hotel du vin

We have visited Hotel du vin many times and have had excellent food service and lodging. We went for a couple of late afternoon drinks in the hotel bar which was not busy.Having ordered our drinks the barman said he would bring them to us and be seated without telling us we would be charged a total of seven pounds for this service no notice anywhere somewhat underhand.

I organised a special team reunion with a private dining room for afternoon tea and dinner. We were large group and all stayed over for the night. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. The staff were fantastic too! Nothing was too much trouble and every has a fabulous time!

Another wonderful night at Hotel du Vin. special mention for Hazel in reservations who booked lit for us. Stayed in a gorgeous suite (Penfold) and enjoyed the Taste Du Vin experience in the restaurant. Reception staff were excellent as was Mike who looked after us at dinner and breakfast. A really lovely time for our 15th wedding anniversary. Thank you!

Visited this lovely hotel with my friend and dined in the restaurant. Delicious food and attentive staff. Thank you Mike for looking after us, you made our experience more enjoyable and thank you Zesna for the dessert recommendation it was heavenly. We will be back!!
