Edgbaston House

Not a hotel. No reception. Building locked completely upon arrival. Service nonexistent and facilities are dilapidated/broken/shoddy fixes. Difficult to find; only vinyl signage

The guy who met us was very nice,very welcoming, explained everything. Great parking, quaint rooms,decor lovely, rooms clean and tidy, bed was comfy and pillows were fluffy. Also had air con, which kept the room cooler as we were on the second floor. Shower amazing and had a lovely free standing bath too. Tea/coffee facilities, robes available. Would stay here again, excellent place.

Lovely room with everything you would need, but we were by the front door and on our second night we were woken 4 times by people banging on the front door which was quite alarming. Twice around midnight, once at 5am and again at 7am. As there is no reception I can only guess that guests had forgotten their keys. Perhaps it's better upstairs but sadly I won't be coming back.

Gorgeous property, the styling is beautiful, room was very comfortable. Plenty of parking at the rear of the property for residents. A lovely peaceful setting within a large city like Birmingham. Highly recommend this property. Different from the usual hotel having no reception, but this did not impact our stay. The staff we did meet, were very helpful and friendly. There are various eating places nearby. We had breakfast in Edgebaston village, a few minutes walk away. Just lovely.

What a gorgeous little hotel. We traveled up to see family and found this hotel on Trip Advisor - let me tell you, the pictures do not do it justice. The service we received was fantastic, the room was stunning and perfectly clean! This hotel is ideal for a luxurious night away. There is free gated parking available behind the hotel just a short walk from the rooms. We ordered dinner on Deliveroo and were impressed with the amount of great restaurants close by. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for an amazing stay.

1. I could not shut the window, which meant heating the room to max and losing lots of heat via the window. The bath was in front of the window, which seemed to be jammed anyway. A peril of old houses I guess. 2. 'Welcome' was perfunctory. No explanation of breakfast or local shopping facilities. Might as well automate it totally. Certainly could not find breakfast in the hotel. Restaurants close-by were expensive. 3. The place is a good walk away from shops and the 'metro' stop, when you are travelling with luggage, it is cold and raining. 4. Huge amount of terms and conditions to read when booking. Beware! Not a traveller-friendly place to stay. 5. The cleanliness is first class. Lovely thick towels and quality bedding. 6. No lift, so luggage must be carried up steep stairs. 7. Beautiful room, the bath feature is delightful just a shame our heating wasn’t working and had to listen to an electric heater all night.

A short stay for my fiances birthday, was very nice and cosy, price was very reasonable for what we got, only issue we had was the WiFi wasn’t so great for streaming but we made do with our mobile hotspot. Bathtub in the room was a very nice touch and the large waterfall shower was very enjoyable. Would appreciate if there was a deadbolt on the door, for added sense of security.

The whole stay was lovely, the room looked amazing, the only thing is me and my partner was expecting to atleast have a smart TV so we was able to watch Netflix, disney plus or even prime video. For how fancy the place is and the amount it costs per night, you would think a smart TV would come as standard in all rooms? Another thing was we was we was on the top floor in room 26 and when we pulled the blinds up to reveal the windows, the windows was filthy, I'm okay with alittle dirt but this windows haven't been cleaned in a long time. But other than these things it was good.
