Hotel Regina

Great place if you are short on time in Bogota , close to all the museums and many tours. Hotel is historic and staff are friendly . Area can be a little shady at night but it is downtown as long as you are careful it is fine unlike the other side of the area.

Typical airbnb-type of place but surprisingly very nice room which is not expected when you are just viewing the building from the outside. The guy and lady who have helped me there were very friendly and pleasant.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our trip around Colombia in March 2026. From the outside, the hotel doesn’t seem very interesting. Seen from the inside however, the hotel is really cute and the staff were as friendly as they can be. The hotel is old (we can see that from the furniture and other stuff), but it was somehow renovated to give it a more modern look. Our room in the 6th floor was nice, not very big, but big enough to accommodate us with comfort. Breakfast was ok. The hotel stays within walking distance to the historical center of Bogotá, being this one of its main assets. The only minus: the lift was working only sometimes, which made us go several times to the 6th floor using the staircase. Not a big issue, but still one of the things the hotel management should consider working out.

The rooms are dirty and old. The elevator is scary. Our room smelled like food, because the kitchen exhaust goes directly into the main building shaft, where your only window opens up to. All the ventilation you get is an opening of about 3cm in a window, which doesn’t let a lot of air in, but makes sure you can hear *everything* that happens in other rooms. From our room’s window, we could see directly into the next room’s bathroom. Floorboards squeaked like a ******* house. In ***********, they claimed to be 4 stars. In google, it shows up as 3. We stayed for 6 hours and immediately decided to leave. The manager came up with an insane fee of 85% to cancel, and decided to stop replying to my messages. Stay away from this hotel. It’s very close to a scam

Lovely old hotel with lots of charm and kind helpful staff. The rooms are small but have what you need. But the elevator didn’t work, nor did the wifi and the breakfast was sad.

Location is fantastic. Rooms were very clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Easy walk to Bolívar square and Gold Museum. Busy area. Excellent value for money. Things to keep in mind: elevator is very small, but still quick if you don’t like using stairs.

lt is an old hotel, and it shows. The coffee at breakfast was atrocious, which I wasn't expecting in Colombia!

If something maintenance related goes wrong in your room in the evening they don’t have staff to fix it. They only have one staff overnight and he can’t leave the front desk.
