When we did not open the balcony door, the waiter actually opened the door when we were out. He kept saying that Bogota's security is average, so I was a little scared! Everything else is OK, but there is a subway being built next to it, which is a bit noisy"

"1. The checkout time is until 1 PM, which is convenient and relaxed. 2. The breakfast menu isn't extensive, but it's substantial and delicious. 3. The bed is comfortable and the hot water works well. Don't plan on using the gym if you stay here. I went around 8 PM fully changed into workout clothes, but all the lights were off, the equipment was completely unmaintained, and the treadmill didn't even work. The staff only said that the equipment was unavailable, and it looked completely different from the gym shown in the photos. Very disappointing."

"My stay at Joy Hostel was excellent. The capsules are soundproof and very comfortable. The entire place, including the bathrooms, is spotless. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful—from reception to cleaners to kitchen. The meals are delicious, and the hostel offers great activities like yoga, karaoke, and parties. The location is perfect—walkable to supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, and a big mall. The atmosphere is safe and friendly, and the Wi-Fi is good. Wishlist: It would be even better if a hairdryer were available."

"fantastic breakfast, helpful staff as we were travelling with an infant. The surrounding area of the hotel is perfect for running or walking in the park. Close by shopping market within walking distance for food or basic staff. Quiet location respect the busy city and perfect for resting after a day out. Common areas inside the hotel were perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately the last floor with the gym was under renovation and we couldn't use it but we will come back as it has been an overall great staying."

"The arrival after 30 hours of travel gave me a scare; in a dark, seedy street, the taxi stopped in front of a garage door.... I immediately asked the taxi driver to wait until I was inside; where had I ended up in the middle of the night? But when the door opened and I entered the lobby, everything was OK!!! I was spoken to kindly (in English!). So the taxi was allowed to leave; I had arrived. Quickly to the room to crawl into bed, because I was exhausted... The room on the 1st floor was small, but adequate. A (too) short bed, with my feet hanging over the edge, didn't bother me; TV, WiFi, and a clean shower and sheets. Everything you could wish for... The next morning, breakfast included. The waitress was a little late, but I could live with that. At 7:10, a delicious fried egg and toast; accompanied by some (lukewarm) water for the pills and a delicious cup of coffee! An extra toast was also ordered using gestures and delivered quickly... Top-notch service. Unfortunately, the guy on the night shift who spoke English had left early... A taxi to the airport was arranged using gestures. For less than a quarter of the price of the previous evening, I was dropped off safely at the airport! Hats off to this additional service! In short, to avoid being judged too quickly on first impressions: the service, cleanliness, and amenities are simple but complete! A solid 9 out of 10 for this cheap, simple little hotel!"

And a short Uber ride to other attractions. Highly recommend. Only recommendation I would have is some instructions for the use of the smart TV."
