We stayed at the Modern for a night on each end of a rafting trip in Idaho. This hotel is just 15 minutes from the airport and conveniently located within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops in downtown Boise. Our room both times was elegantly simple and very comfortable. On our first night we had drinks at the Hotel's bar and were able to chose from a good selection of innovative and tasty cocktails. Then we walked into town for dinner. When we returned after our trip, we had cocktails and dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The cocktails were again great and our dinners were expertly prepared, sustainably sized, and just perfect for us. All of the hotel staff we interacted with were very helpful and courteous. We seriously recommend the Modern if you're visiting Boise for business or leisure.

I enjoyed the stay. The Modern has a nice bar. The staff were great. The room had a excellent shower. The breakfast was delicious, a bacon frittata; much better then the typical offering.

All aspects of the stay were top notch except for the noise from the heater, it sounded like a snow plow when it was on

I was very impressed with the staff during my check in. I came into town with a large truck and trailer because I was moving and the gentlemen at the desk went out of his way to make sure I could park it safely in the area without gettijg a ticket. Room was clean and spacious.

I had one of the best meals of my life here. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The bar has a dedicated fun staff who are creative geniuses in terms of inventing drinks. I loved every aspect of this stay.

What an incredible surprise! When I pulled up I was a little skeptical because of all the construction out front. That was all communicated well before I arrived but I didn't expect to see all the diggers. Typically you think it's going to be loud and not what you're looking for BUT The Modern Hotel IS THE BEST! From the minute I checked in I felt like I was home. The staff is AMAZING and I have traveled all over the world. I ate dinner the first night and was blown away at how thoughtful, fresh and delicious the food and cocktails were. It was so good I ate there my second night too! After being there for a quick business trip I wanted to move in! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It's everything I want when I'm on the road. Caring service with a sense of comfort that you can't find just anywhere. BRAVO Modern Hotel!

Clean room with comfortable bed and good shower in a uniquely restored motel that is walkable to downtown. Excellent restaurant for a memorable dinner. Included breakfast. I would stay here again!

You would not think it from the outside and the location however this place is an absolute gem. The hospitality was some of the best I have ever experienced. The food was likely the best Boise had to offer and could rival any larger city chef inspired cuisine. The service was impeccable. And I enjoyed a morning river walk along the greenway which was only a short distance away. I will be back.
