The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. We cannot fault the professional service we received. When we needed help with sorting out a last minute restaurant booking, following a unforeseen cancellation, they found us an alternative on one of the busiest national holidays. They also helped me practice my Italian and were incredibly patient. The hotel room was cosy and was very clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The staff were attentive and professional. In fairness I need to comment on the graffiti etc that has been mentioned in other posts. This is understandably off-putting and you do wonder where you have come to, but we felt safe. This is a university town and there people who are less fortunate. It’s a city that is lived in by locals. It has a heart. If you coped with Naples, Bologna is a breeze. I personally love Naples! Suggestion: tea and coffee making facilities would be most welcome.

We only had one night at the Albergo Rossini 1936, and if we ever return to Bologna, will be back. The hotel is quaint, so close to City Centre, and staff absolutely delightful. The breakfast was delightful - combination of hot offerings and sweet Italian favourites. We loved our stay here.

The property is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The room (Aida) was very small.
The description of parking is misleading. It says on your site: ＞＞Self-parking on site- 20. ＞＞
Actually parking is off site (10-15 minutes drive in old city Bologna) and it's 24Eur per day.

Unfortunately only a mixed review possible: Service and staff are top. Engaged and willing to assist. Rooms are mixed, re their location and brightness. The ground floor room which we had to trade ( vs paid upgrade) was dark and noisy to the street with construction site across. Upper floor rooms are nice. Location is per se close to the city center - but the area is fairly obscure - so that at darkness a walk to the hotel is unadviseable. Not sure how other reviewers can praise the location ??

Albergo di lusso in posizione eccezionale per visitare la citta. Camera elegante, e molto ampia in stile classico. Bagno in marmo con doccia ampia e confortevole. Colazione stratosferica con scelta a buffet e piatti alla carta. Personale preparato e servizievole. Grande attenzione al dettaglio, dal biglietto di benvenuto del Direttore ai cioccolatini della buonanotte. Molto consigliato. Il prezzo vale sicuramente il soggiorno.

Nice hotel. Very very friendly and service-mindet staff.
Only little thing: a lot of noise from the street Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening/might from young people partying at the bar close by.
And again from the street sweeper early in the morning.
