"Towels and bedsheets are a bit dated with some smell. The location is in an area not so suitable for families with children. Room is a bit small but acceptable. Shampoo would be better to have a new set instead of a big old bottle."

"The hotel is located in a somewhat desolate area, and there is a construction site next to it. The transportation is convenient. Bus No. 25, which goes directly to the Central Railway Station, is right in front of the hotel. I was surprised to see the hotel when I got off the bus. The receptionist was expressionless, and the facilities in the room were old, but they were equipped with a small refrigerator, a kettle, mineral water, etc. The hygiene was also good; the bed was a bit soft, but fortunately it was just for a nap... The breakfast was a highlight, with many choices and self-service freshly squeezed orange juice"

"Location of the hotel was the highlight, it was literally opposite the train station. There were shops and supermart nearby the hotel as well so it was convinient. The room was good and clean, with the view facing the courtyard. Breakfast was good too with a nice selection of food and drinks. Only downside is that it was a 15-20 mins walk from the city center but we enjoyed the walk from the hotel to there. Overall a very nice stay and place in Bologna!"

"This place is absolutely excellent. It caters for all ages and I will certainly consider using again as a workspace also. The Social Hub is a great concept that will mostly appeal to a younger crowd although all are most definitely welcome. The rooms are excellent, thoughtful and have everything you need. The staff are all excellent. Location wise this is perfect for access to Bologna Centrale Station. As many travellers will know Railway Stations anywhere in the world are not always located in the safest parts of a city. Although nothing happened and I did not necessarily feel threatened I was very cautious as I was travelling alone with my teenage daughter so also need to consider her safety."

"Very nice hotel. We moved to Bologna, so we stayed in this hotel again. The front desk recognized us at a glance. This is the third time I stayed in this hotel. It is very cost-effective, very clean, and the breakfast is also good. I recommend everyone to stay here."

"The room is very good and the bed is big. The shower head has a small water flow. No bottled water is provided. The transportation nearby is also convenient. Bus No. 25 is opposite and goes directly to the city center."

"Beautiful experience at i Portici Hotel. From the moment we checked in to checkout everything has been great : the staff greeted us in the most courteous and welcoming manner, made the stay a wonderful experience. The room wasn’t considerably spacious, but it was well laid out and functional. Didn’t feel restricted at all. Most importantly very clean. Cannot wait to go back."

"Good hotel. Responsive staff. Great breakfast. Close to the center. Good transportation availability. Of the shortcomings: There is no furniture on the balcony, although the balcony itself is very good. The lack of sound isolation in the room because of the floor wooden door, all you need to add sound isolation material. And there was another accidental hole on the shelf (I think it is a rare case). I was comfortable in this hotel"

"Our room was not cleaned very well. On one of the towes there was lipstick from a previous guest. Many of the elements and details in the room were off or broken, which is not to be expected from a 4 star hotel. The windows had no nets to stop the flies. The person at the front desk asked me for a credit card for a deposit for the mini bar in the room. Although I told him I do not intend to use the mini bar, he insisted to provide a card in order to be able to check in and as I did not want to leave my card with anyone, he wrote down my card details. The room temperature can’t be controled and it was so hot, that at one point I woke up middle of the night and thought I had died and went in hell. There is nothing near the hotel so the only water you can buy is from the mini bar and it was extemely overpriced. The breakfast was pretty much the only thing on point as the waiters were very nice and polite! All in all, for the price which was the cheapest the hotel is an acceptable option in case you value your money and can close your eyes for a few things."
