📍 P.za XX Settembre, 2, Bologna

"I recently stayed at a hotel in Bologna and had a very positive experience. The location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the city or attending business meetings. The rooms are well-designed, clean, and comfortable, though they could have been a touch warmer for my preference. The staff was professional, efficient, and always ready to assist, which added to the overall experience. It’s an ideal choice for a business trip or a short leisure stay of 2-3 days in the region. I’d highly recommend it for anyone seeking a balance of comfort, convenience, and professionalism!"

Holiday Inn BOLOGNA - FIERA by IHG ★★★★

📍 Via del Commercio Associato, 3, Bologna

"The location is next to a shopping mall and not far from the highway, making it very convenient if you have a car, as there's free parking. However, it's quite inconvenient if you don't have a car. When I went there for breakfast this morning, I was a bit dazed; it was full of Chinese people... The facilities are typical for a holiday inn, but the best thing for me was the kettle..."

Hilton Garden Inn Bologna North

Hilton Garden Inn Bologna North ★★★★

📍 Via San Donato 3/3, Quarto Inferiore, Bologna

"I didn't stay in any good hotels during this trip, so I would give it 4.5 stars based on my personal comfort during the trip, but I will review the hotel alone. I feel like I'm giving a slightly harsh review. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. The lobby and rooms are very clean, and the cleaning is done properly every day, so I had a very comfortable stay. There are staff who regularly pick up trash left by customers, so if you are not a clean freak who does not touch anything that other people have touched, you can enjoy the bar lounge and gym on the first floor. There were no backpackers among the customers, so that may also be related to the appearance of cleanliness. There were no light bulbs that had burned out yet, but I was concerned that the light sensor in the hallway to the guest room was a little slow to respond. This is not about cleanliness, but lol The location was ▲ for me this time. First of all, it was a little far from the city of Bologna. I was here for business, so it was about 10km to the city of Bologna, so it was difficult to move around unless I rented a car. Similarly, there were not many supermarkets or large restaurants within a walking distance of 1km. Although there is room service, if you are caught in a heavy rainy day, it may be better to buy something to eat at the hotel. However, there was no table in the room where I stayed to spread out a large furoshiki and eat. On the other hand, it is good for people who want to relax by looking at nature, such as the Italian countryside. It is quite far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Parking seems to be free, so you may want to own a car or just consider traveling by taxi. The front desk explained that if the roads are not crowded, it is a taxi ride of just under 15 km to Bologna Airport, costing 25 euros and taking about 30 minutes. As of November 2024. There were some areas where the service could be improved a little more. Personally, I would have liked there to be more staff who could speak English. Perhaps it would be better to have a translator if you go if you can't speak Italian. The bellboy was a very kind and frank Bangladeshi man who was easy to talk to, but the reception staff seemed to have a significant difference in their attitude. However, as you would expect from Hilton, the front desk will print anything you need for business purposes, and I was relieved to hear that they also offer a service to call a taxi from the hotel to the airport. When I checked in on the first day, I asked to change rooms because my colleague was staying another day, but they said they wouldn't know the room number until check-in on the day, and that the check-in would only be possible with my colleague's passport and me, so while it's good that they protect personal information, I wish they were a little more flexible. As for meals I had breakfast (7-10am), which was an American-style buffet with as many cakes as side dishes. There were several types of cheese and ham, and several types of cereal. If I hadn't had to prepare for business in the morning, I would have liked to have breakfast, such as baking my own waffles with jam. I was also able to drink alcohol while watching tennis on the sofa near the bar counter. I didn't eat dinner at the hotel, so there is no review. I would give it 3.5 points for facilities and amenities. Considering it as a European hotel, I would give it 4 points. First of all, what was in my room from the beginning was A bottle of sparkling water and regular water in the refrigerator as a welcome drink. There was an electric kettle and several types of tea pack sets. The refrigerator didn't seem to function as a freezer. A hanger rack and an ironing set. In the bathroom, There were bath towels, face towels, hand towels, hand soap, body lotion, body soap, shampoo, and treatment. There was also a hair dryer in a bag. Oh, the bath towels were thick and fluffy as expected. As expected from Hilton! My room only had a shower, but the only curtain-like thing separating the shower was a glass panel, and there was no place to put my clothes nearby, so it was a little cold until I got changed. There were no bathrobes in the room. My colleague's room had a bathtub. There were quite a lot of outlets, but of course they were type B. Even if you don't mind the voltage, you basically can't use them unless you bring a plug that converts to the type of outlet in your country. I don't know if I could borrow them from the front desk. The only thing that bothered me a little about the room facilities was the lack of slippers and toothbrushes. I went to the front desk to ask for these two things, and if there were any left, they would bring them to me with a slightly reluctant look on their face. This was also a bit of a hassle because each person had to go and get them, and that's why I gave it a lower score in terms of service. I don't know if it was because of prejudice against Asians or the personality of the front desk staff. I didn't think I would be sharing toothbrushes with other people in the same room, lol. By the way, there was a place in the lobby that sold water and snacks, and they also had toothbrush sets there. I guess you have to buy them when they're out of stock. There were no slippers, though. And Wi-Fi. It was well-maintained, but it was open Wi-Fi, not per room. It was a login-type system that is common at airports. I was redirected from a Hilton homepage to a screen where I had to enter my personal information, and although I didn't want to have my data collected and receive marketing emails, I had no choice but to use it because of the data capacity. Other facilities that I appreciated It was nice to be able to have a light meal on the sofa under the big tree in the lobby, and to have a light business meeting or conference on the big sofa in the lobby. If I had time, I would have liked to try the gym facilities, but I only had a quick look this time, so I won't go into detail. There are two elevators, diagonally opposite the circular lobby. The entire hotel is on the third floor, including the lobby on the first floor, and is arranged in a circle, so you can get to your room no matter which elevator you take, but I recommend remembering which one is closest to your room number. This is a long review, but that's it for this hotel."

Hotel Astoria ★★★
"A nice hotel with a great location near the train station. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. They were delicious, filling, and lasted until the evening. We booked a room for three nights. The room was warm and clean, and had a balcony, which we used every morning to sunbathe. Overall, we had a very positive experience!"

"Conveniently located within a couple hundred meters of the Centrale Train station, the hotel is ideally located for getting around town. A comfortable 1km walk sees you in the center of the Old Town and amidst the sites and sounds of a bustling city. The hotel rooms were well appointed and the bed comfortable with decent blackout curtains. The interiors are slightly dated, but clean and well cared for. I would recommend the stay. I didn't eat at the hotel, but they had a well stocked bar with friendly service."

"The room is very small, not worth the price. But it is close to the exhibition venue and the shuttle bus is free. Look at the damn price. I was unable to arrive and check in on the first night due to flight reasons, but the hotel refused to refund me. Fortunately, Ctrip refunded me several hundred yuan, and I felt better."

"The surrounding area is quite remote, with fields everywhere. But there is a small village 400 meters ahead, with restaurants and snack shops. There are many parking spaces in the hotel. But because it is during the exhibition, the twin room is 2500 per night, which is too expensive!"
