The hotel is right in the heart of the historic district which is the only reason to stay. We booked adjacent rooms. The ceilings are higher than the rooms are long, or wide. They are rather tight with little storage space for suitcases. I would say that the star rating is more to do with the location than the quality of the hotel. It's very tired and uninspiring. The reception area is very dark and damp. The bar is tatty. The staff were helpful and friendly. If you are looking for nice comfortable base to retreat to after a long day's sight seeing, this is not it.

Great location a twenty minute walk from Bologna Centrale, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a nice buffet breakfast included (starting at 6.45A)

Geweldig hotel erg centraal gelegen op nog geen 100 meter van de Piazza Maggiore maar toch heerlijk rustig. Heel fijn verblijf. Heel netjes. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Het personeel aan de receptie, vooral Claudio, is uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kamers netjes met alle voorzieningen, badkamer met inloopdouche en badjas. De Wifi werkt uitstekend. Eigen restaurant ‘C’era una volta’ met heerlike gerechten. Het was al met al echt een perfect verblijf. Absoluut een aanrader!

We liked the convenience of being located in the center of the city. Breakfast was buffet style and lots of choices from eggs, meats, cheeses to sweets, crackers, and cereals. My only comment about our room was our shower. It was leaking every time we used it and made our bathroom floor soaking wet. The other amenities were dated but sufficient for us.

Hotel in ottima posizione , praticamente in pieno centro, personale alla reception cortese e disponibile, la camera pulita e confortevole, l'unica pecca il condizionatore utilizzato per il riscaldamento un pochino rumoroso. Ottima la colazione, brioche fresche e non decongelate come invece si trovano nella maggior parte degli hotel. Abbiamo prenotato il posto auto , risultato comodissimo.

Great stay in a very comfortable hotel. Allowed to check in early too getting out of the rainy weather…breakfast was great too
