Nuovo Hotel Del Porto

In general, it was just ok to stay there. Location close to the main station, not too far from the city center. The area is a bit popular, we didn't feel unsafe though. Soundproofing is however very bad, with normal voice conversation (as well as bathroom noises) of neighbors clearly heard in the room. We were on first floor and we heard the clerk downstairs discussing with other clients, when it's 7am or midnight it can become a bit annoying. Otherwise, the bed and pillow are ok, the room size is small but ok, same for the bathroom. No boiler, only a small fridge. A tiny television on the desk looking like a computer screen. Staff friendly and helpful.

First of all I don’t like to give bad reviews they are honest experiences and observations and this constructive review is no different and have given it an average score based on the price and as outlined below. Location is within walking distance of train, bus stations and city centre. Check-in and departure were easy and efficient, the room itself had seen better days, the pictures look better than my experience though the positives were the fridge and a good shower and plenty of clean towels and after a good shower had a pretty good nights sleep after giving the room a good airing as I went out for a meal and that I was thankfully staying the one night. It felt a little seedy due to the affect that not all the lights in the room and bathroom worked and then because of that questioned the actual cleanliness of the room, I propped the chair against the door as I didn’t feel particularly safe and for good reason, as my initial approach to the hotel outside was a gathering of homeless people and on my return from an evening meal there was more homeless people drinking etc, on the other side of the hotel in the street a woman was turning tricks with a customer. Would I stay here again… definitely not!

Great location internet not so great and no kettle for coffee/ tea , staff were great and for the price would stay again. Very convenient
