Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

For the price you pay The Renishaw is definitely value for money. Staff were friendly on arrival and allowed us to check in early. The rooms are a decent size and well equipped, they're a bit rough around the edges but are generally clean and comfortable and do look to have been renovated recently. The walls are quite thin so expect to hear if your neighbours snore loudly and if you're road facing you will hear it though it's not the loudest thing ever. The room was quite warm when I stayed, there is an AC unit but it seems non functioning, a fan was provided but mine was broken and we didn't return for the night till midnight so couldn't do much about it. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and duvet, a black out blind on the window and a temperature solution would make this place 5/5, again, for the price you pay.

We didn’t book but the friendly front of house staff fitted us in, I’d advise booking as it was really busy. We both had the carvery on Sunday and it was really nice, all nice and hot. Would definitely recommend and come again. Very friendly staff, well done team 👏👏👏

Had a lovely weekend stay. We travelled up to stay at Sherwood Forest and used the Premier Inn as a stay over before heading to Sherwood Forest. Staff were really nice and helpful. EasyJet located off the M1 so forward travel was a breeze. Overall great stay.
