We stayed 2 nights and ate in both the restaurant and cafe. Both were excellent. The main courses in the restaurant may seem a bit limited - mainly variations on lamb, beef and fish, but the quality was good and the range of starters was excellent. The chocolate cake desert is delicious. The cafe has lighter but excellent fare. The pool area is very good and even though it was quite full when we were there, there were plenty of loungers. Parking was easy and the views are great. The room was very comfortable, with a bath / shower.

This is a lovely hotel and setting, with fantastic walks and scenery on the doorstep, but badly let down by management on every level. Unfriendly check-in by disinterested member of staff. This type of service was usual throughout the hotel apart from Omar who worked extremely hard. It is definitely not 5 star, struggles to be 4 other than facilities. Poor service. Cafeteria /lounge is soulless and serves awful food. We ordered 2 different sandwiches, a gourmet and a bikini pastrami which were both absolutely tasteless, practically inedible dried up sandwiches. They can’t even make a decent sandwich or coffee! We decided to give it another try, choosing other options, again utterly, bland and uninspiring food. Also you wait forever for a drink or coffee. The gym has everything you would need and looks out on to the river which is picturesque, but really lacks maintenance and quite frankly needs a good clean. Water machine with no cups. Our room was nice, decent size, but again bathroom could be cleaner, shower glass was dirty, also mould around the seal, and there was a dirty towel in the room. The outdoor pool was closed yet it appears they charge 25 euros each if you want to use the indoor pool for one hour. This hotel could be so much better. It has everything going for it in terms of setting and facilities, yet sadly lacks quality. The management need to improve their standards all round, or sell it to a well established hotel group such as Parardor who would bring it up to the standard it deserves. Stayed for 4 nights.

This is a really stunning hotel and a beautiful location. It’s situated just outside the small town of Boltana and very close to the mediaeval Hill town of Aínsa so location is perfect. The conversion of the old monastery into a hotel has been done really beautifully, with such interesting use of the space and artwork throughout the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and service was excellent and very friendly. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. There is a lovely swimming pool in the garden area outside. It’s a beautiful space to swim and relax, surrounded by views of the mountains. The gym is a little dated and cramped, although it has a good selection of weights machines. There is a spa, but we didn’t use it, as the pool is so lovely. The fittings in the room might be thought a little dated for a five star hotel, but, given the history and location, the price and how beautifully the central areas of the hotel had been designed, we didn’t feel that was a problem. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back!

Pros: Beautiful building and great food, comfy beds Cons: Rude staff, average room and spa not included It's certainly not a 5 stars to European standards but it's a good stop hotel if you're doing a road trip in the region or passing by for a night or two.

Nice place, terrible restaurant… My wife and I stayed here for 5 days in June, 2024. We booked half board, assuming there would be a buffet in the evenings. Each night they offered a set menu, with the option of fish or meat. My issue? THEY SERVE ONLY MEAT, NO SIDES. I have never seen this before… When I asked why, they shrugged and said “The chef is special.” I complained and the next night I got a potato but every other night, nothing. They offered extra bread rolls, for €1.50 extra. Considering the meal costs £30 per person, per night… I expect more.

The a la carte food in the restaurant is much better than the set menu, and not much more expensive. The bar menu we didn't try but the food looked nice. The room and service were very good. We didn't try the spa.

Extremely pleased with the hotel and the surroundings. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. A glass of champagne on arrival and they even sent a bottle of champagne to our room on my husbands birthday. We will definitely be going back. Will definitely recommend

Stayed here for one night in September, this hotel exceeded all expectations! Everything was spotlessly clean and very well furnished, food was great and the pool area lovely. Staff were very helpful, just wish we`d stayed longer.One of the best hotels I`ve every stayed in, I will be returning for sure!

We had a lovely time at the hotel: gorgeous view from our windows, the hotel is a historical monument with beautiful architecture, wonderful service from the hotel staff and sumptuous breakfast in a beautiful setting

This elegant upscale hotel, while beautiful, may not provide the best value for your money. It's crucial to note that advance reservations are mandatory for both pool access and dinner on a daily basis. Regrettably, when we checked in at 8:00 PM, securing a dinner reservation was impossible. Furthermore, their gluten-free menu is rather limited, potentially disappointing guests with dietary restrictions. I'd recommend exploring other options if you're seeking a genuine five-star hotel experience.

Beautifully restored monastery with lovely pool/gym/spa and incredible hikes everywhere one turns. It is not in a ski area which is probably why it is such extremely good value. Its relative isolation has another interesting impact, the staff is (undoubtedly living nearby in this thinly populated area) is quite constant and they really take pride in their work and their welcome...We have been four times over the last two years and enjoy seeing familiar, welcoming faces...Highlight is the excellent (and affordable) breakfast...If possible get a room at the front of the hotel around the court yard and not in the annex...just that much better...although its all great.

The location and outside of the hotel is very nice and the hotel staff is very kind but that's unfortunately all positive about our stay. The rooms are old and used. Broken bathtub with mold spots, smelly floor when going to the room. Not the best food quality. For money we paid we await at least 5 star quality. Unfortunatly it felt more like 3 stars stay.

Great place to stay . We wanted to do some walking and this was ideal even in the hot summer, I was able to relax around the pool. There were plenty of sun beds. Our room was good and the bed was enormous. We visited the restaurant most days and found the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and good value for money I would recommend staying there if you are in the area
