My third time going to Boracay, my first time was in Fairways & Bluewater Resorts, however it was too far, 2nd time we stayed in Villa De Oro, and for my third time, we stayed here at La Carmela. Our stay here at La Carmela was a clutch decision but a truly memorable one. We celebrated New Year's Eve 2022 at La Carmela. We stayed there for 9 nights. But I must say, some employees are not that dedicated and passionate with what they do, except for the security personnel who were all very accommodating. I myself, I am a front office agent, I can't even feel the sincerity with the service they provide. I was actually expecting a lot from La Carmela since Mr. Boy Abunda has always been promoting this resort during all his shows, in addition to that, so many celebrities and even influencers have stayed in La Carmela and seemed to like their services. But, to my dismay, all my expectation weren't met, unfortunately. Food is average, our daily breakfast was always served ice cold, pool is massive and beautiful, location is priceless since it's near the beach and just near to everything else where. I just wished they can step up their services including personal services to their guests, most especially that there are already a lot of hotels booming as their competitors. I know La Carmela has been there for countless years already, so why not make their legacy a good one. Overall, our room was okay, we waited for so long for our MUR, plus the ac in my mother's room is not functioning well. Would love to consider this hotel once more as it is perfect for budget travelers like me. stayed for 9 nights with my partner, mother, and my sister, and we only paid PHP 25k for everything including their plated breakfast. I hope you consider all the points I have mentioned, See you soon, La Carmela. :)

Very nice hotel. Convenient and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Great house keeping. The hotel offers huge amounts of swimming and its bar in the middle of the pool. It will have good opportunities to have a variety of drinks while swimming. However, I found some lack of providing amenities. I have booked a room for 3 people but there were not enough amenities. I have to ask every time to provide them. Found some ants in the bathroom. There is too much of a crowd while having breakfast. Not enough space for movement. In some cases, there is no hot water while getting in the shower. It's been fixed later. I found the iron board was not in workable condition and it was very hard to use it.

Went there for the Valentines day weekend. It was very enjoyable with friendly staff and the suite was clean and wonderful. Very quiet and within walking distance to White Beach and conveniently located near a 24 hour McDonalds and Subway which certainly came in handy when wanting to grab a quick bite to eat. They offered a complimentary free for one day breakfast voucher in their hotel, whuch was also very delicious. Its a bit of a ride to and from the ferry to get there but if you can get a package deal going to there and back certainly recommend it. Plan ahead with one of the local drivers so you have plenty of time to catch your plane as ours flew only once a day to and from Clark in Luzon. But very enjoyable, also wear a lot of sunscreen because its very easy to get sunburned in a short amount of time while having fun in the beautiful crystal clear water as we did. The air conditioning in the room was quite helpful and enjoyable esp after getting sunburned. Although the shower didn't have a door so expect the bathroom floor to get a bit wet easily. Plenty to watch on the cable television in the room as well, bed was a bit rickety sounding on one side but otherwise very comfortable. Easy access to the room with a keycard.

The hotel is rated as 5stars. It is far away from that if you expect a real 5 star hotel you will be disappointed. I would rate it like a 3,5 star hotel. The only category where the hotel reaches a 5 star level is at the prices for food and beverages as well any outside activity. The most worse was the transfer from Hotel to the airport. We get ask to pay 6000 Peso. My deeper question after that answer was what the costing will be if just get to the harbour the answer was - it is the same. the real costs for 5 person is around 2000 peso in total up to the airport departure terminal (the 6000 peso is a discounted price the price list of the hotel say 9600 peso). For a phone call as a customer service a fee of 4000 / 7600 peso for the hotel reminds me at business which brings you in jail. The same is for the drinks and food average double of the prices compare all restaurants we had visited and I do not talk about cheap restaurants. Furthermore, it takes typical 20 minutes for a coffee and one hour for a pizza in a non-busy time. The hotel itself have a nice beach location the pool is good and cosy the rooms are clean. I join a lot of 5 star hotel in Asia and middle east and I believe I can make a proper judgment about the hotel capability and costing ratio. The hotel is good just complete overpriced for what they are able to deliver. The guest is not seen as a guest you get easy the feeling the milk cow arrived let take all his milk. For me a one time experience never again.

There are two types of hotels in the world: those with management and those without. Paradise Garden falls in the latter, I'm sorry to say. For example, it took the friendly front office staff over an hour to check me in and the breakfast buffet is so overcrowded that there were no seats once you get your plate. Also, the wifi extended to the door of my room only so that I had to move the dest to the door to use wifi. Inside the room there is no wifi at all. This 1970's looking bare bones hotel is in a good location at Boat Station 3, just a little too far south of the action, and has huge grounds with several swimming pools. But the entire place has an unkempt appearance and needs a management team to remodel it entirely. I was there for a week in February and the weather was perfect.In all I ended up using over US $ 100 of T-Mobile international roaming data charges because the room had no wifi.

Where do I begin? I saw this hotel in Agoda but decided to directly book via their website. I paid for the whole fee specified in the website, that is, good for 3 people, and 1 kid aged 12 years old. The room says ”sleeps 4”. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told that we need to pay an additional fee of 800 per day (X 4 days = 3,200) coz my son, 12 years old, is already considered an adult. I insisted that in the website, it asked for the age of my son and I put in 12 (see pic) under the ”children” category. One staff ”explained” to me condescendingly, as if I dont know what I'm talking about, that the website is wrong and that they're gonna tell the one who takes care of the website to update information so and so. In fact, this guy, didn't apologize for the fact that their website information and rate and the front desk rate are INCONSISTENT. Instead, he said that extra charges are given (if applicable) when guests arrive at the hotel: ”we tell them here at the hotel”. Why would you do that? If indeed my son is not considered a kid anymore, why wasn't the extra charge added to the website when I was about to pay for the bill online? Why would they charge it when we are already at the hotel? For a planner like me, I like to pay all hotel charges and plane charges prior to the trip so that I can budget and reserve my money for the food and other activities during the vacay. But then, they wouldn't give the key to the room unless I pay the extra charges first. Oh well. Also, the internet wasnt working for two days. The room phone wasn't working. Location: Quiet. Convenient since theres a mall attached to the hotel. General Mgr was accommodating. IT staff was efficient; he immediately checked the wifi connection when he came back from his leave. Housekeeping staff efficient and helpful.

For the first two days of our stay it was okay tho the people who welcomed us were not comforting as other front desk crew are but they were still nice. Once you entered the lobby it was kinda dead place, you know there are people but they are like robots. It’s kinda dead place for me. The crew at Kuya J’s were fighting over personal agendas and it was in the morning. Imagine having your breakfast and hearing those personal fights of the crews, you haven’t started your day and that’s what you hear. Also the restaurant is also stinky. It gives you the vibes of the Estero in Binondo. No joke you’ll lose your appetite smelling the area and unfortunately you have no choice because that’s where your complimentary breakfast served. Lastly, we chose azalea because of the kitchen this is technically our kitchen but some of our family were staying at henann and other hotels. And since the food was in the place some of us are going in to eat. My niece and nephew ate in our room and since it was a bit late they stayed and decided to sleep at the room. However the following events are very inconsiderate on the Azalea crews. While we were resting the guard knocked to the door with a bit escalated emotion. He told me that the phone was not ringing the front fest were calling us it might be hung or whatsoever, so I checked the phone and it was in good place then I phoned the front desk and asked why. The crew told us that we were five in the room and we were only allowed just 3. I understand the situation but I explained what’s on our behalf I told him that they were just staying because we have food here and so forth. However he told me that I’m going to pay for the extra guests who were still a children (tho still another person) but again children so I told him just wait I’ll contact my family in other hotels where they were staying so I can send them off there. While it was hard to contact them since its in the middle of the night. So I phoned the front desk again and told him to give us a little more time because of the situation in the other hotel. But instead of understanding the situation he was like “ma’am okay but in 10 mins they should be downstairs or else we’ll charge them” uhm okay okay again I understand tho be considerate they were children I know the policy but I think it’s situational that can be understood. Its like yes you have a policy but at the same time you should be human first I guess. But it brings me back to what I felt in the first days. The place feels dead because of the people whose hearts like a robot. So never again. You booked a hotel not just for the luxury but the ambiance the vibe that you feel inside the hotel but its useless if people who are running the business doesn’t have a heart like a human. There are a lot of hotel and resorts that are same rate as they have like henann, Hue, Lime, Altabriza the prices are not far from here but you should pick them rather than here a place where there’s no heart like a parents, si

This is by far my favorite Henann Hotel in Boracay. This was my second stay and it didn't disappoint. This is their newest hotel so you can expect the that the rooms, amenities, and facilities are quite new. I haven't tried the more premium Henann hotels like Crystal Sands and Prime, but I bet Henann Park would likely be at par with the two. + Very efficient check in and check out time -- you can ask for late checkout (subject to room availability and may incur additional charges if your extend longer) + By the main road so it's easy to commute, near fast food restaurants and stores. + Staff are accommodating + Free breakfast for 2 + Room upgrade fee was reasonable. I originally booked a deluxe room with no view/window but the front desk offered me to upgrade to a Premier room with pool view and balcony, the only down side is that the bed was downgraded from King size to 1 single and 1 queen bed; but hey, it's still a good deal. - Room slippers and bathrobes must be requested, I think these should be readily available in the room. - Pool is quite smaller than Regency/Garden, which can get easily crowded especially during peak seasons. - The path leading to the white beach is terrible. I think the hotels should coordinate with the LGU to have that fixed, especially the dark alley which you need a flashlight in order for you to traverse - I am not kidding, it's pitch black in there.

Booked and paid for 2 months in the presidential villa and invited 14 overnight guests between 2-7 days. My booking was from February 1 until March 31, 2021 and I moved out 10 days early without a refund. Pro: Spectacular location New facilities Friendly staff Con: The lady and the gentleman who remotely manage the resort from Manila and Cebu have zero experience how to build, maintain and run a resort. They hired people without any hospitality experience, the general manager was a former housekeeping manager. Result: My guests and my family had food poisoning because the kitchen was never properly cleaned nor was there anybody who checks the food or kitchen staff. The manager got drunk while my guests were here and he double booked my reserved villas. Some guest villas had no AC and service for my guests was so chaotic that I ended up taking care of everything myself, from organising to get the villas cleaned to making sure there was toilet paper in the bathrooms. In the restaurant, they served a cake and one of my guests found a bit of metal wire inside the cake where previously a candle was attached. He was afraid that he may have swallowed a piece of wire. We asked the staff where they buy their cakes and they said other guests brought a cake for a birthday party and this piece was a left over! Fortunately, my guest was fine and got lucky since he found the metal wire before he swallowed any. When I finally announced my departure, the lady and the gentleman from the board sent me threats. I think if the investors in the resort replaced the board and hired experienced hospitality management, this could be one of the most beautiful experiences in the Philippines. Warning: One of my guests is a construction engineer and made me and my guests aware that we must not enter the cliff terrace in front of the restaurant because it has a severe structural problem (walk on it and you will feel how it moves up and down). The board was aware of it and allowed any guests and groups to use it anyway, and even dance on it, which is extremely dangerous. I just came across a lot of old positive reviews - possibly from people who were invited to stay for free during the opening period - and I decided to leave my comments although it has been a while ago that I stayed there. People cannot see behind closed kitchen doors and I had full kitchen access during my entire stay, and it was definitely a health hazard to eat there. Until someone with restaurant experience cleans up and properly handles food, and until someone with hospitality experience manages the rest, this resort should be avoided. Hopefully, the people who invested in this resort check what's going on there and come to their senses. A few examples: The cheap wood used for construction is already rotten, therefore cliff walkways and villa roofs need to be renovated. We went to Boracay in July 2022 for 22 days and we spent our last 6 days in Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay which was the best decision as we wanted to stay at Station 3 during our remaining days. This beachfront hotel is accessible through an access road from the main road which makes it easier to jump into an e-tricycle to go around the island and the White Beach Path for beach access. The staff were all nice especially the food and beverage team who were always there to assist us during our breakfast meals on the restaurant. Our room was located on the first level which was great because we were near the front desk, restaurant, beach and the pool. The hotel was built in 2009 so the amenities may not be updated such as there's no bidet in the toilet and I also wish that they have a retractable clothesline in the shower to hang our wet clothes on. But the classic wood furniture and beautiful lamps in the room really never gets old. We only went around Station 3 in those 6 days and I would say that it's one of my favorites areas in Boracay as it's a perfect fusion of the old and the new, as well as the perfect mix of locals and tourists. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay.
