Just arrived to Athens, after a 3 days trip at Borovets. We booked this hotel as a group of 6, going for snow sports, had 3 different rooms and stayed 2 nights. First time for me there, personally, I loved it. As a professional, working at the hotel industry in Greece, I found what I was looking for. A decent clean room with excellent view, at a logical price, very close to the gondola, good breakfast, sauna and a swimming pool and the star of the show.. Kind people, willing to answer your each question, with big sincere smiles. Does it need improvements? Well, who/which doesn't? But from my point of view a hotel is just a building. People give all the good vibes and can make your experience even more memorable. Thank you all for an excellent experience! A big shout out to Veronica Stefanova, the hotel manager! Skilled professional, hard working, friendly and approachable, always looking gorgeous with a smile that can melt all the snow in Borovets!! I would definitely recommend and I will come back next winter season!

We choose the hotel as part of our ski trip. We felt that access to the pool and sauna would be a nice addition. When we arrived we were moved to Villa Park 250 metres from the hotel. We had a studio room, with exceptional uncomfortable beds. The lounge area downstairs presented similar to that of a youth hostel and we could only use the pool and sauna at an additional cost of 25 lev per person per night !! yet it is promoted as free on the site!!. The Bulgarians are lovely people. They are just really poor at hospitality and delivering basic standards.

Stayed here whilst on a business trip with 19 colleagues. The hotel reception is dirty, the old leathers sofas and chairs all have mucky split leather. We were supposed to have 3 guests per room but they crammed 7 of us into a room which sleeps 3ppl. There were not enough beds so we were having to sleep on the floor in our clothes and also the bath. The beds that were supplied were broken camp beds which were dangerous. Avoid this hotel at all costs, it’s a complete shambles, no hot water either and mucky bedding and mattresses. I hope u get closed down!!!

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. The curtains didn't close there was no one to service the room I had to go to the reception twice to ask for toilet roll. The receptionist was talkjng on her personal moblie phone for 5 minutes before askinv the bar man to serve me. Staff are rude and if tou have a problem with your room tou have to contact the website you booked the room from. Spa and pool closed till Oct 23

Didn’t want to judge the place based on some of the previous reviews but unfortunately they were right. We stayed in an apartment, which was really nice and well done, shame that it was situated in that poorly managed building. Place was really run down and staff were just as rude. For example, staff members sleeping on the sofas in reception, don’t ask for a drink at the bar, you’ll get a grunt and a dirty glass. Woke up one morning to a “guest” urinating off their balcony….also got woken up on 3 different occasions by other “guests” trying to get in to our apartment. The pool was closed, so was the fitness centre….apparently they are being refurbished and will be ready in October, 2023 Spend the extra money and go to the Rila, you won’t regret it.

Where do I start. Reviews aren't great on here, so started with low expectations. On a stag do so to be fair didn't really need much. Booked through Thomas Cook (why they'd allow their name to be associated with this place is beyond me). If you expect a hotel (including any kind of customer service or even loo roll) then don't choose here. We were in room 70 and room 52 (both apartments two double beds and a sofa bed). It is a little better than hostel style accommodation. You get what you pay for. 5mins walk into 'town' or 10mins to slopes. Only one key for the room which was annoying. Borovets itself is great for beginner skiers but is basically Magaluf in the hills. Prices in bars aren't much different to UK. Beer is ok but food in some places is very good and decent portions. If your expectations aren't high then you'll be fine. Oh and the pool isn't open until Oct 2023.

In general it was one of my worse experiences with hotels. Room with no hot water, no hit at all!!! while outside temperature is below zero!!! no one at the reception most of the time, no one to communicate to. staff treatment was horrible, no willing to help in any manner. the room itself was with broken floor, dangerous electricity point in the wall (uncovered). not talking of a TV set that does not work, unconnected phone, etc'.

It’s only a couple of hundred yards to the gondolas and that’s about the best bit !!!! No heating , no toilet paper, stains on bed sheets😳.6 light switches but only 3 lights ???? Plug sockets hanging off the wall ,double bed has 2 mattress 1 4 inches lower than the other ? Walls so thin you can hear people talking in bed next door tv didn’t work in our room. Hot water lasts for one quick shower for 1 and takes all day to reheat, towels are crispier than a sock from under your teenage boys bed 🤢🤢🤢 and a similar size !!!. Breakfast was offered for 10 leva per person …. It looked rank and the only thing you could eat was toast but unfortunately the toaster was broken !!!! Staff were miserable and just grunted at you (other then the barman who was a nice guy) Has a swimming pool but …..no water in it!. There was no heating but on the upside there was a fire on the 5 floor so soon warmed up . All of the above is true but that said if you just want somewhere to sleep and a base to ski from look else where !!! We had 5 days here and it was the worst hotel I’ve ever had the miss fortune to stay in . Looks from the outside are deceiving it’s just very run down . Please please pay the extra money and stay elsewhere . This is a four star hotel , I don’t know how it got this rating it may have been 5 -10 years ago, but now it’s not worth 1 star. We have stayed in borovets before at hotel bore this was a 3 star hotel and was the ritz in comparison. Such a shame as the skiing is pretty good there And the hotel has put our group off of Bulgaria So not sure if we would go back.
