The thermostat doesn't seem to connect to anything, and the air conditioning unit only partially worked, so it was hot and stuffy the whole time I was there. It wasn't as bad as it sounds. The exact amenities required were there, nothing more, nothing less. It was all fine.

Location, location, location!
Very comfortable and spacious, and essentially a one bedroom flat.
A final floor of stairs to climb and a slightly clunky lift were neither here nor there.

Not worth the price paid. Accommodations are minimal, bathrooms are shared in the hallway. Bathrooms are not kept clean or stocked with basic things like paper towel and toilet paper. Room was small and beds are not that comfortable. Location is the only benefit

Really excellent location, clean bathrooms and kitchens, apparently safe. But it is a hostel, and the photos do not correspond to the accommodation. In other words, for a short trip for two it is a good place, for business travelers who need space to work, it is not the best option (in my case, I had to use some super-crowded cafe options nearby).

This is a hostel with shared bathrooms. Some elements are run down but the room was spacious with comfy sheets and pillows. THE LOCATION IS AMAZING. The manager responds instantly by texts (e.g., with wifi work-around).

I cant say enough about how much value Temple Place offers. For hostel prices you get a large room to yourself, a common area for all your needs, clean bathrooms/showers, and a location that cant possibly be beat (steps from Boston Common). Perfect for any traveler who isnt ovely concerns about ammenities. If you are the type of person who spends more time outside of the room than it, this is the place you want to stay. Maybe not the best for families with children, but single professionals and young couples will find extrememe ROI staying here.
