You don't get value for your money here. For the price it should be much nicer and have a much higher level of service. Started off bad. Room Safe didn't work. Many folks carry a large amount of cash when traveling. Shouldn't have to get safe fixed right after you check in. Shower was great (water is hot and water pressure is god), but the entire experience is ruined because the drain is clogged and water pools. Nobody wants to stand in their own shampoo and soap. The dinning room has one (yes one) waiter on two of the four days for breakfast Many people just left. The front desk doesn't answer the phone for 50 or more rings, and then proceeded to grill me when I simply wanted to be put through to my room (even after I identified myself as I guest provided my room number). Housekeeping did an OK job but proceeded to wake us up to clean our room, and then wouldn't clean our room while we were out for 5 to six hours. After this happened, told them we were leaving now, gone for 4 to 5 hours so now was a good time. Room wasn't cleaned when we were gone. Service elevator issue. Since they don't have a service elevator, the staff uses the regular elevators and you constantly stop at every floor only to have them say I will catch the next one. The lack of a service elevator seemed to get worse and definitely more annoying with each successive stay. No ten pound Weight in the weight room. My wife and another guest found annoying (the other guest expressed disgust when I told her my wife had reported that there is only one ten pound weight to me). FYI - ladies use 10 pound weights. The lack of one or not knowing that it is missing just shows no one is paying attention to this detail like they are not paying attention to so many other details. Obviously, I was very dissatisfied with this whole experience. This about the 4th or 5th time we have stayed at the Revere. It's not very likely that we will be back to Boston in the near future because our student graduated, but if we would be very reluctant to stay at the Revere again. Too bad because it is in a great location and was pretty solid for our 1st stay but has gotten progressively worse with each succeeding stay.
