Residence Inn Boulder Canyon Boulevard

Bella at the front desk is friendly and helpful and took care of our guest room requests. Hotel located in the same plaza as a Sprouts grocery store, Einstein Bros bagels, a hardware store, and numerous other little restaurants. 10 minute drive to campus. $25 for hotel parking bu there's free street parking a few blocks away. I have back pain and the bed was not comfortable for me but otherwise the room was clean and functional with the same floor plan as other newer Residence Inns I've stayed in. Full fridge, small microwave, small dishwasher, non-oven toaster.

This was a nice hotel with nice staff, but a few things could have been better. Arrival was confusing because the parking deck is gated, so we were not sure if we could get in without a key. We therefore had to drive around a few times until there was room in front of the hotel on the street. A key was required to access your floor on the elevator, which I understand is for our safety because of the homeless population in the area (which I was not aware of!). This was just annoying because it didn't work well and we often had our hands full and struggled to get to our floor. One time I even spilled my entire cup of coffee, so be careful out there! Then, our AC unit in our room was very finicky and it would turn on and off over and over, waking us up. We slept better when we just turned the unit off. The room was great, with lots of space. We enjoyed the full size fridge, sink, dishwasher, etc. The bathroom/closet set up was inconvenient for two people with luggage. The bed was pretty comfy with down pillows that worked as long as we had several of them. Continental breakfast was okay. They had everyone's favorite, the waffle. But, lacked any variety, it was like toast, vanilla yogurt and melon. It was still a great convenience.

Staff were super helpful, kind and knowledgeable. We had to make last minute changes in our reservation and the team made it so easy for us. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful even with our kids running amuck in the lobby area. The rooms were very clean, cozy and quiet! We loved the central location where we could walk to dinner and nearby shopping.
