Great night watching the amazing singer Kelly Lorraine performing as Stevie Nicks. Her voice is incredible and she had everyone dancing. Place was buzzing, staff as always amazing If you want a great atmosphere, lovely food this is the place to go.

OK. A review of two halves. Positives first. Staff are wonderful. Really attentive and genuinely free and efficient. Food excellent. Room, oh dear. See photos. We did report this immediately but response was ‘yes we have another room like this’. I feel sorry for the great staff. Great location and so many good things, but Greene King need to sort the accommodation.

A Greene King hotel and pub. Conveniently located not far from one of the cliffs in Bournemouth. We stayed there just for a night, together with our friends. Classic accommodation - almost antique but fun, with good food, drinks and entertainment. The breakfast (full English) was sumptuous.

Lovely hotel, lovely location, easy checkin and a great restaurant too. Staff all very friendly. I could hear people outside and in rooms nearby when I went to bed, but I was in bed early due to traveling all day and later on in the evening when I went to sleep it was silent and the bed super comfy. Breakfast lovely too. I would definitely stay again for a one-night stopover

Myself and a group of friends ( 20 senior citizens) just had the most fantastic afternoon of entertainment watching and indeed joining in with a MADNESS Tribute act in the beer garden of the Spyglass. It wasn't overly loud and yes there was plenty of drinking taking place but the atmosphere was absolutely superb . I am a local resident and aware that not everyone is as happy as myself but this was a couple of hours of harmless fun and was over by 8pm .Some people must be so bored with their lives they have nothing better to do than moan moan moan . The pub has been there for years and is the fulcrum of the local community ( in my opinion ) providing jobs for local people and superb entertainment year round , long may it live ! Pubs are under immense pressure to survive, my hat goes off to Manager Jo Botta and her team including Jess Emily Luke , all the bar and serving staff and of course Pierro . Thanks for all you do . From the outside this is a very attractive hotel & once inside the welcome is warm, with a lively, buzzing atmosphere in the general bar area. The staff could not be more helpful - we were instantly greeting by a very willing gentleman, who appeared to be a waiter from the restaurant, but who was so helpful carrying our cases up the two flights of fairly steep stairs. The lovely lady who checked us in was very helpful too. Once in our room (those stairs were a bit of a climb!), the bed was comfy and the room was exceptionally clean, perhaps a little dated and quite cold although radiator was on fully and there was an additional heater in the wardrobe area if we had wanted it. The room wasn't enormous, but big enough - it was a mixture of modern and old fashioned, but the colour scheme let it down a bit - grey, which made the room seem colder - a different colour scheme would make the room cosier and more welcoming for sure! Breakfast was sufficient and we ate in the most lovely conservatory setting, which on a sunny day is absolutely delightful. With the sea just across the road, the setting and location is beautiful. We would stay there again and would recommend the hotel, it would just be nicer if the rooms had a touch of colour.

This was a comfortable pub for a one night stopover. Steep stairs to the rooms which is difficult with large suitcases. Food in the restaurant and for breakfast was good. We loved the location and had a bracing walk along the beachfront and back along the cliffs.
