Stayed overnight for a short break. Convenient location with free parking. We had booked a Cosy Room but were upgraded to a Junior Suite which had a view of the lake and was a nice extra. Staff were friendly, we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but had breakfast which was good quality and very filling. Would certainly recommend and look forward to returning.

We thought we'd visited before so pleasantly surprised to find it our first time. Spacious bar with various shapes inside. Served my favourite beer, Caffreys. We called in both days and would imagine a great place to stay overnight. Try it for yourselves.

Stayed here many times over the years and standards have certainly dropped. Dirty glasses in the room and an uncomfortable bed. Breakfast was included, but I certainly would not have paid £13.50 for it.

Ate dinner in the restaurant and food was fabulous, fish and chips and the pan fried chicken both were excellent and best meal we have had all week in the Lake District. Service was excellent and interior decor looks great, pet friends and well worth a visit Great beer garden also worth checking out

Wonderful last min getaway to The Angel Inn. Greeted warmly on arrival by Anne Marie who made us feel very welcome indeed. Had a light lunch which was excellent and the service was very friendly and efficient. Stayed in a cosy room which was as stated but very well maintained. Good standard of housekeeping throughout the inn. Very comfortable nights sleep. Bar and lounge areas very relaxing and excellent service for drinks and food. Very good breakfast menu all of a high quality and a special thank you again to Anne Marie and Rowan who looked after us really well. Hope to see you again in the near future! Very very bad food, Thai Green Chicken curry had horrible looking chicken, no greens and old rice. Awful….and tiny portions, I thought there had been a mistake and we had been served Childs portions. Very dissatisfied, will never go back. Over £100 for 3 Curries & 3 drinks
